wow, I put it through Google and these are regular/warnings threats- (2008-2010), the banner is
going across the Sky site alright , however.
Usually they issue warnings but leave their citizens to it. This time seems to be different, more specific, they're telling them to get out quick, and to make sure they tell any other Israelis there who might be out of contact to get out too.

Of course, some might argue that Israeli diplomatic isolation at the moment (well, not isolation, more a bit of a spat with them) require a sudden threat like this to get everyone back on side again. But that would be very cynical............

What the hell would a sane Israeli be doing in the Sinai in the first place?

Apparently it's quite a common holiday destination for Israelis, and a constant source of concer for the Israeli government in that regard. There is supposed to be some of the best coral reef diving sites in the world there.
I also bet its great sniper and kidnapper country!

Notice that they didn't call on their citizens to "go home". There would be a great run on flights out of Israel if that happened!

Israel and Egypt are at peace since 1979 and part of that peace agreement was the guarantee that citizens and goods from both countries could move freely between the two states. It's what friendly countries do. Over 20,000 Israels holidayed in Sinai over the last couple of weeks. Israelis love it there and they are very welcome there. No reason why they shouldn't go. And this threat to them would not be from the Egyptian authorities, who welcome Israelis to Egypt

Pharinuff. :)

The hedonistic life style of Israelis in Sinai concerns Rabbis deeply.

One of the top ten dives in the world is in Ballinskelligs in Kerry.

Excellent, hopefully as many Israeli rats as possible will not be able to leave.

No Israeli should ever be safe
