The Belfast Telegraph reports that authorities in the UAE are alleging that members of a suspected Israeli hit squad used Irish passports to enter the country. Once in the country they allegedly killed a top Hamas commander.

After the killing they allegedly fled to a "European country"

In 1986, US officials, including Oliver North, reportedly used Irish passports to travel to Iran to offer missiles for hostages.

The only thing that can be said with any degree of certainty is that any alleged Israelis did not enter Dubai on Israeli passports. The rest is just conjecture

The Jewish community in Ireland should be questioned for their possible involvement in this incident. We'd do no less if they were Muslim, right?

What I want to know is what hasn't the Irish government sent agents to UAE themselves to kill Hamas scum?

Nearly correct. It was not CIA but the Special Forces infiltrated into the country who were using Irish passports. They were led by the well known Dick Meadows:

"For more than a week prior to the rescue attempt, Dick Meadows had been on the ground
conducting clandestine mission support activities in and around Tehran. Again a
volunteer, he was operating undercover as an Irish citizen working for a
European auto company."

I believe that a CIA/Mossad plane painted in Aer Lingus colours had a part to play in the Iran/Contra Affair...

The Israelis have form in this regard IIRC.

They used Aer Lingus livery and/or call signs when bombing Iraq in 1981, didnt they?

11 Irish passports for stg£20m to an Arab sheikh

To see if they paid for them:rolleyes:

THE sale of 11 Irish passports for stg£20m to an Arab sheikh in 1991 was irregular and unusual, Justice Minister Michael McDowell said yesterday.
Irish Examiner - 2002/10/18: Sale of passports to sheikh irregular, says McDowell

Underlines the need for biometric-passports to reduce the exploitation of insecure passport-technology for the furtherence of terrorism - state-sponsored or otherwise. I am not defending Hamas by resistance to occupation is a right - indeed a duty. In the absence of a political-process despite their electoral-mandate to govern the Palestinians, Israel has made its own bed and will have to lie in it untill such time as they initiate such a process.

No they did not.
Weren't some of the aircraft used in Iran-Contra rented from GPA? Though the Israelis didn't need to use Aer Lingus identification on the Iraq op as they were flying low and maintaining radio silence from what I remember reading of it.

Regards...jmcc
