This disturbing image shows the back of the head of a child or young man as seen in the crosshairs of a rifle. The photo was posted on the personal Instagram account of Mor Ostrovski, a 20-year old Israeli soldier in a sniper unit.

The context – particularly the character of the buildings seen in the background of the image – strongly suggests the child could be Palestinian.

There are no other images to suggest that the photographer actually fired at the person in the image in this case. The image is simply tasteless and dehumanizing. It embodies the idea that Palestinian children are targets.

‘Constant target’ – Instagram reveals

"Pictures of Israelis targeting Palestinians have also been posted on Instagram in recent weeks. A snapshot posted at the end of January shows the back of a young man's head in the crosshairs of a rifle. The picture, posted to IDF sniper Mor Ostrovski's account along with others, does not show whether or not the individual on the image was shot down."

This reminds me of the young boy who was shot through the heart by a british soldier in Aughnacloy and was described as an accident.

Why should this be sent to the zoo?
Because the links in the page you posted don't work and there is absolutely no evidence that this image was actually posted by an Israeli soldier. There is no background to the story that seems to originate from an online publication which covers the Israeli-palestinian conflict from a palestinian perspective. It's not unusual for these types of publications to invent news. You may as well just post excerpts from the protocols of the elders of Zion and try to pass them off as fact

Looks faked tbh, Israelis haven't used bolt-action rifles for years and rifle shown is clearly bolt action. Also the scope type is not consistent with current Israeli military technology.

So it's fake!
No, the photo simply has a colour filter that is automatically applied to all photos uploaded to instagram to make it look like it was taken on and old kodak camera

"it confines photos to a square shape, similar to Kodak Instamatic and Polaroid images, in contrast to the 4:3 aspect ratio typically used by mobile device cameras."

Does that photo in your second link have anything to do with the photo in your OP? No, it doesn't!
