You forgot the 10 - 15 BN needed for AIB.

Although they will probably just drain the NPRF for that..

Ah you forgot about all the people emigrating (except the foreign immigrants of course, sure why would they?)
Oh yeah and the Sheriff chasing after Joe Soap for not paying as much tax as they should have back in 2004 while the Big Guns get away with EVERYTHING!

What is not on the list however is:
Further drastic cuts in TDs and Senators wages
Cuts and complete elimination of their surplus pensions
Drastic reduction in their numbers.
An at least 30% cut in the retirement pensions [past and future] of higher civil servants and senior managers in semi state companies.
Disbandment of 75 % of all quangos and their staff being paid statutory redundancy.
Selling of the E -voting machines for scrap
Total abandonment of the relocation fiasco.
A criminal investigation into all aspects of FAS
A similar investigation into all land purchases over the last 10 years where more than the market price was paid for land and site purchases by govt agencies.
A pay freeze on all workers for the next 3 years and this particularly includes ESB power station workers.

There’s a bit of a conundrum there.. why would anyone want to an entrepreneur \ risk taker in a country where they are excluded from the social welfare safety net ?

Exactly, but our muppets have been working 24/7 for the last 2 years to address the unemployment issue.

No entrepeneurs - No jobs :(

And personal guarantees required for everything....................

And self employed / proprietary directors are audited extensively.

ROLL UP ROLL UP

Does anybody know what the criteria is to be considered Long Term Unemployed?
No, but at this rate I suspect I know what they may well be in 2014 -

You'll must be
a) Irish
b) Living
c) resident in Ireland

... and, in the nightmarish (if admittedly unlikely) event of FF's not getting destroyed in the next election

d) connected in some form or fashion to the Fianna Fáil party

Denis O Brien on bloomberg earlier suggested Brian lenihan is the standout performer among EC finance ministers. You have it here first folks.

Add the following bad news;
- crime rate rising and associated costs in prevention, repairing damaged property etc.
- increase in anti-social behaviour and cost of housing our delinquent population
- cost of maintaining badly built buildings thrown up during boom and signed off by dodgy Engineers
- recurring winter flooding and storms - insurance companies havn't paid out for last years damages yet.
- decaying infrastructure as Councils run out of funds to repair roads etc.

Because they pay a reduced rate of PRSI and so are not entitled to the same benefits as someone who pays the full rate?
