1 killed, 7 taken to hospitals after Kentucky high school shooting

https://edition.cnn.com/2018/01/23/us/kentucky-high-school-shooting/index.html

At least one person was killed in a shooting Tuesday at a Kentucky high school, Gov. Matt Bevin said.

"Tragic shooting at Marshall County HS ... Shooter is in custody, one confirmed fatality, multiple others wounded," Bevin tweeted.

The again of course refers to this which happened yesterday, and not the other 136 which have happened since 2010.

My first instinct on reading the OP was to think "thank God it's only one killed".

Which is a pretty appalling indictment of the US.

19 th century England had more "Liberal" gun laws than anywhere in the US now but they didn't have this stuff. What will taking Gun Rights away from law abiding decent Christian folk achieve in a country like the United States swarming with organized crime?

They could just take the Gun Rights from non-Christian law abiding decent folk and leave the Christians with their guns.

An indictment of the US's gun control laws - or of the whole country?
Their gun control laws and the huge chunk of the country who won't see them changed.

Mind you after the political reaction to Sandy Hook there really was no hope that anything meaningful would be done.

And a Fatal Stabbing in a School in Germany. We should count ourselves lucky.
How many fatal school stabbings has Germany suffered over the last 8 years?
