86 days to Thersa May's plan triggering of Article 50 and Britain loses one of its most important players in the discussions.

The UK's ambassador to the EU, Sir Ivan Rogers, has resigned.Sir Ivan, appointed to the job by David Cameron in 2013, had been expected to play a key role in Brexit talks expected to start within months.
The government said Sir Ivan had quit early so a successor could be in place before negotiations start.Last month the BBC revealed he had privately told ministers a UK-EU trade deal might take 10 years to finalise, sparking criticism from some MPs.

I doubt it. His heart doesn't appear to have been in it.
Watch this space.
Possibly because his brain was telling him to get the hell away from the oncoming debacle.

Sir Ivan is at heart a remainer and EU fan.

It was wise of him to step aside and let the process
of real British independence from the EU proceed
with more vigour and vim.....

LOL.

Well who cares about him anyway, the old civil servant, bet he left with a fat pension, more than any true Brit will get. The will of the British people will be honoured!

Good riddance to a secret Remainer, Britain can do without his sort, etc etc.

Farage says 'a lot more' diplomats should follow Rogers and resign
Damn right Nigel. I mean what we need before entering delicate negotiations is a clean slate. Let's drain the swamp and put people who truly have GB's interests at heart. Men and women who don't rely on protocols or policy but slam tables and make demands. People who don't back down over things like facts. People who feel what is right. People who don't use their brains but their hearts.
People who act on emotion. People who wear union jack hats and don't feel stupid. If the EU don't like it we will send a gunboat.
Those fuzzy wuzzies don't like it up em!

I swear that air traffic control thing is getting more likely!
The fluoride in the water is finally doing its work

Probably a lot of vim. Maybe vim washed down with pimms?

Can you stereotype Farage and his gang anymore? The smell of tea and smugness oozes off every image of them.

Its no surprise that this guy has been pushing against Brexit, anything otherwise would be a Turkey pushing for Christmas.
The pro-EU statements he has been making recently is probably him thinking there is still some way he can ingratiate himself with the EU to somehow keep himself on the EU gravy train post Brexit.

More likely he got fed up with asking what the plan was and being fobbed off with nonsense like red, white and blue Brexit.

He has probably been told that an actual Brexit will take place and not some fudged partial Remain that some in the UK are clamouring for in an attempt to pervert democracy and has jumped.

LOL

He has a little list.... :)
I love the comments section
Lots of purges being sought. Everyone who so much as went to Belgium for a holiday needs to be sacked out of the civil service. It would be hilarious if it weren't so terrifyingly tragic.
