Theres a few good candidates in there but they can't win in a good economy. Of the 4 sitting presidents voted out of office in the last 100 years, all 4 were voted out due to the state of the economy.
I don't think that was the reason Bush 41 lost. Perot getting a huge 3rd party vote split the GOP vote and let Clinton in. Economy was alright in '92.

Nah there was a fairly big recession leading into the 92 election.

It was a big reason. "No new taxes" and then he brought in new taxes. He won a war and got voted out!

Perot nicked a good few votes from him though yeah. But not as many as people think.

Most post election stats show that as many Perot voters would otherwise have voted for Clinton as for Bush.

True. I didn't think the recession was all that big.

True.

The Hill raises a interesting point, why isn’t President Obama coming to the defense of his Vice President Biden, they did spend a lot of time together.

Because he is smart, disciplined and can measure a situation astutely.
And also, because Biden would not want him intervening, it would just risk escalating.

These are two vastly experienced politicians who can read a situation, they wont recklessly charge on to twitter and start screaming insults, crude nicknames and crass accusations at someone who criticises them

As is most often the case, Jack is dribbling.
Obama will not weigh in unless forced too because in a slagging match, the smarter Trump would wipe the floor with him.
Plus, he does not wish to see a democrat win as it would preclude Manchelle running in 2024. Try a little harder Jack.

Do the voices of multiple Creepy Uncle Joe's sex-attack accusers count?

Will the left simply give him a free pass... to keep on being, well, Creepy Uncle Joe...

Or will Hilary get the nom.?

Aren't the Dems even slightly dubious about this endlessly repeated behaviour?

So much for #MeToo?

It's only MeToo depending on your political affiliations.

The truth hurts!

Sleepy Joe falling asleep at the wheel again yesterday, told a meeting Margaret Thatcher had just called him to complain about Trump.
But Margaret Thatcher died several years ago.
Sleepy Joe of course meant Theresa May, but if he can't remember her name then Brits shouldn't expect much from the 'special relationship' if Sleepy Joe makes president, which he won't of course.
And neither will Bernie Sanders.
Tough times for the Dems
