The man has been making huge sacrifices with his all expenses paid round trips to the U.S of A fighting the good fights for Irish illegal aliens.

The poor man hasn't had the time to tend to his Waterford flock.

Someone cut this legend some slack.

For the love of God! Where's the justice!!

If he is not on the ticket, or looking like he is to be added to it - is there a point in a no confidence motion in him?

It's like booting a guy in the a$$ when he is on his way out the door anyway.
Exactly. Say nothing when it matters, be a hero when it doesn't

It seems the organisation are at the end of their tether, they want to know if Deasey is standing in the next election, as to plan with or without him.

Its quite something to seek the dissolution of the local FG branch when they vote against you. Sounds like Boris looking to prorogue parliament over Brexit.

But that's a typical Irish thing to do, apply the boot to the asee and then as if magic all the blame is transferred to the one who was kicked.

A 13 day trial over exactly nothing. That is what is disgraceful here. If you can’t tolerate mild criticism, don’t become a politician.

David Cullinane:
I wish John Deasy well in his retirement. His absence & silence on so many issues facing Waterford makes this no surprise. I can’t help but think that in his desire to be seen as a ‘maverick’, he in the end squandered a chance to make a real difference. #waterford

Who will replace him on the ticket? Presumably someone from west Waterford - Damien Geoghegan? John Deasy himself mentioned Liam Brazil but would have thought it's likelier to be someone in or around Dungarvan. West Waterford has always returned one and sometimes two TDs (e.g. 2002, 2011 and pre-1992). As things stand Labour's John Pratt is the sole candidate out west.

Am I asking too much?
