'A Green Party initiative which has the backing of the Government'.

Cowen must have been washing down his steak and chips with the last of the Bushmills when John asked his opinion.

But but John doesn't want people agreeing with him! Disagreement and protest is a sign the greens are doing the right things according to what he said at the gp conference in Waterford a while back!!

heres a consensus for you john - you're a spineless man with no principles who will gladly continue the anal rape of the irish people as long as you get yours.

You will get yours, john.

I think the consensus is that the Green Party should stop propping up FF and give the people an election. If Green Party doesn't do that then the Green Party is finished, if they do pull the plug then they might have some hope of earning a little respect and salvaging something.

The only consensus John Gormley can have is at the ballot box! Anything else... he can take a running jump!

Just saw this being discussed on Leaders Questions in the Dail ---sounds as if it might be a runner!

In fairness, Asparagus is fairly reflecting the mood of the electorate.

That is how many, many people feel about JG.
Now, in fairness, you using the words 'in fairness' in relation to the green party parliamentary party members is a waste of good pixels, isn't it? We know how you feel.

Conspiracy theory no 12

Mr Gormely has a very important message , straight from the EU/IMF .
BIFFO cant be seen 'fearfully' begging the 'opposition' to play ball so Mr Gormely stepped up .

Basically , someone very high up, has decided that we cannot have an election for some time . John is the messenger boy . Biffo is playing dumb .

Kenny and Gilmore would want their heads examined - now they will prop up cowen and lenihan in performing the actions described above.

And johngormley will be peacemaker?

If this goes ahead people, it is the final betrayal by our political system.

I do not accept this dail anymore - they are rogue. They have no legitimacy.

Consensus?

Nah. Not going to happen.

The Opposition are probably having some fun leading JG on.

No advantage in throwing a line to the enemy in a sinking lifeboat.

Anal rape!! That’s an outrageous post.
Post rubbish like that if John Gormley is ever found trawling the public parks of Dublin in his ministerial car looking for rent boys.

Then again that’s the forte of another Irish political party eh?

Dave you are a nasty little man---that type of guttersnipe comment is unbecoming--and if I might say so trawling public parks is not the kind of activity that has bankrupted this country.

It is ridiculous the number of people who attack the Greens.

They are hanging onto power to implement a couple of their policies that their voters put them in there to do.
They went back to the party to vote on whether to stay in government on an amendment platform last year and the majority backed them.

A national agreement on the large parameters of fiscal reduction is not a bad idea to give out to the EU international markets such as €4bn, €4bn, €3bn & €3bn.
The EU has said the details can be amended with a change of government.

Everyone knows that the Greens will be wiped out at the next election but people should not ridicule a decent idea.
