John Oliver is a major player in the US media and here he goes after Mike Pence.

It's a must see -even if you don't like John Oliver's take on the world.

Mike Pence's family recently launched a kids book based on their pet rabbit who is named "Marlon Bundo".
The book is called "A day in the life of the Vice President"

John Oliver has launched his own gay version and directed at children.

Marlon Bundo: John Oliver lampoons Mike Pence with LGBT book - BBC News

"My name is Marlon, but my family calls me BOTUS. It's short for Bunny of the United States."

These are the words of Marlon Bundo, a pet rabbit belonging to Vice-President Mike Pence - or at least, these are his words according to a children's book presented by Last Week Tonight presenter John Oliver in a bid to rival Pence's own book about the bunny.

Within 24 hours of release, Oliver's book, penned by Last Week Tonight writer Jill Twiss, has topped the best-selling books list on Amazon.

The original book, Marlon Bundo's A Day in the Life of the Vice President, was written by Mr Pence's daughter Charlotte and illustrated by his wife Karen. It tells the story of the VP through the eyes of his family's rabbit.

Oliver's rival book, A Day In The Life of Marlon Bundo, illustrated by E.G. Keller, tells the story of the same pet as he falls in love with and marries another male rabbit - taking aim at Pence's history with LGBT rights.
Oliver says:
This is actually a book for children. This is a real book for children," Oliver said. "This isn't some adult book telling Mike Pence to go f**k himself, although in buying it, that's exactly what you would be doing. This is a sweet story about Marlon Bundo falling in love."

How will America respond to a kids book selling gay relationships to children?

Straight into number 1 at Amazon (Charlotte Pence's book is at number 5)

Much like Corden, Oliver is nothing but a court jester for the mainstream American liberal media.

If he actually gave an opinion on things which was his own, he would be hounded out of the US much like Piers Morgan was.

Americans seem to find their stereotypical English accents endearing. The exoticism seems to appeal to many viewers.

The truth is that neither of them have a clue what they are talking about and are just puppets in a way that would put many P.iesters to shame.

America won't really care.

The vast majority of Americans don't regard being gay as being strange/weird/unusual.

There will of course be some of the loud mouths in the very tiny minority who'll have a go at him for it.

i agree happily more and more people are throwing off the homophobic idea that being gay is strange or evil etc, however Mike Pence is not one of those people he is a nasty anti gay person who supports and promotes nasty anti gay laws & groups and deserves to be called out on it!!

Don't forget the profits from the book would be donated to the Trevor Foundation, which aims to prevent suicide of LGBT young people, and AIDS United, which has a mission to end AIDS in the United States.

Major player?

Nope. He’s a nobody.

And any parent that gives their young kids that book need to have the children taken from them for child abuse.

No hes not a nobody otherwise he wouldn't have a very popular show on a major network!
Horseshît.

CNN is a ‘major player’ with diabolical viewer numbers.

His HBO show started off well with very good segments on issues such as pay day loans, nuclear weapons and court fines but since then, and especially during the election, his stock in trade is kicking the actual left. He represents the corporate right of the Democratic Party and anyone who didn't get on the Hilary train was savaged. The smearing of Jill Stein was marked by half truths and outright lies and the pompous lecturing of the audience on why the Green New Deal and free college tuition were not feasible is one of the reasons I just stopped watching his show a long time ago.

It’s hypocritical to be targeting kids with gay imagery one moment and then correctly attacking the Catholic Church for their scandals the next. I don’t like Putin much but Russia is making a big effort to protect kids and will use things like this as propaganda.

OK I'll bite.

If you think that depicting gay relationships is akin to child abuse, do you think that depicting straight relationships is also akin to child abuse?

Are parents who read cinderella to their children also hypocrites if they object to sexual abuse?
