Yup, after careful consideration and talks with my local Green TD, I shall be joining the Green party. I imagine this will bring howls of consternation, but seriously, the amount of concern I would have for the opinions of a bunch of limp wristed, impotent mouth pieces on this site couldnt be measured with an electron microscope.

I am not fully in agreement with some of their policies, but considering Labour is made up of faux socialists, hypocrites and property speculators spouses, FG is led by a moron and puts such non entities as Leo Varadkar or Brian 'didnt get his fair share of human growth hormone' Hayes out for inane soundbites, and Fianna Fail is simply a bunch of liars, criminals and scumbags, I guess if I want to help affect any change then the Greens are the ones to join. I imagine they will get a drubbing at the next election, but unlike the vast majority of those who get involved in political parties, I am not doing this to further my career or to secure planning permission or any of the usual reasons why Irish people do join the likes of FF, I am doing it to try get my voice heard.

Its a long term thing, but I actually believe that there is a serious problem with our environment and climate change is very real. As for those who express skepticism about this, they are either stupid, hung up on conspiracy theories or just on the payroll. I also believe that the clowns in the other parties are no use. Perhaps in a decade or so, we might start to see some sort of reversion of the absolute mess piggy cowen and bertie liar have made of things, with any luck, both will be imprisoned and performing nightly impromptu scenes from deliverance with some of the Dundon clan playing the hillbillies. We can hope.

Feel free to start abusing me whenever you like, as mentioned, the idea of being offended or upset by some idiotic keyboard warrior with an agenda is almost amusing.

Fair play for getting in the game and posting it up on here. I may not have made the same choice as you but I respect people who get involved.

fair play to you genuinely.at least you may be able to get some sort of reaction out to the general public considering the green party are in hiding for the last few days over a bailout that may happen and will cripple this country for generations.

They are welcome to you. Certainly you would win medals for name calling. You clearly are a man/woman of substance in your own mind.

Fianna Fail is simply a bunch of liars, criminals and scumbags,
....that the Green Party are supporting to the bitter end. The environmental wing of FF. The Green Party is complicit in FFs criminality, they are enablers.

The vile tone of your OP fully vindicates your choice of party. Great time to join, just before the vermin will be wiped out in the next GE which will be less than 2 months, assuming of course that this 2nd harsh winter in a row will not postpone it.

Why are you joining the most hypocritical and sleazy party in politics?

The Green/FFer's total lack of probity in all that they have done coupled with ensuring that they kept the vilest bunch of politiicans in power has been a disgrace to everything the real Green movement stands for.

I wouldn't waste the money on a full years membership subs if I were you. They may not exist in a couple of months.

Do they have a weekly membership scheme?

Announcing in public that you are about to join the GP is on a par with announcing in public that you have an STD. Is the OP spoofing for sh1ts and giggles?.

You know if you are really lucky you could be their leader in a few months time when the rest of the members have vacated the building.
