In a response to Josepha MadAgains solo run on saying Mass and changing Church teaching Archbishop Martin has put her firmly in her place. MadAgain needs to calm down and realise that she has offended many people with her antics.
Statement of Archbishop Diarmuid Martin regarding Mount Merrion Parish & Minister Josepha Madigan

“Comments by Minister Josepha Madigan yesterday arising from a situation that arose in the Parish of Mount Merrion at the weekend have caused parishioners in Mount Merrion and further afield considerable distress. Many have contacted my offices to express their hurt and upset at the Minister’s comments, as reported in the media.

There is no shortage of priests in the Archdiocese of Dublin for the celebration of Sunday Mass. Due to a misunderstanding, the priest assigned to Mass in the parish of Mount Merrion on Saturday evening, failed to turn up. It is in no way correct to say that the Minister “said Mass”.

It is regrettable that that Minister Madigan used this occasion to push a particular agenda. Her expressed view that a mix up in a Dublin parish on one particular Saturday evening should lead to the Universal Church changing core teachings is bizarre.

Minister Madigan might consider listening to the voices of those people who disagree with her public comments, she might consider the hurt she has caused to parishioners who deem her actions deeply disrespectful.”

And Josepha Madigan may be a BlueShirt but at least she isn't a bead rattler.

The days of aul fellas "put(ting) (women) firmly in her place" are well over.

She is an elected TD and Minister, Diarmuid is a man who does... what exactly?

I think thats the point, she is a would be bead rattler, but has now been put in her place. Which is not on the Alter saying Mass.

You don't approve of bead rattlers? Good.

Why is Madigan's "place" (on a Sunday, on her day off) not on an altar?

Because Martin/Frankie say so?

And you agree that ovaries, a uterus and breasts disqualify a person from running the Catholic Curch.

That's mad Ted.

DearMad Martin (see, it's easy, isn't it?) might try listening to the elected representatives of the citizens of this democracy.

Does Josepha support the separation of Church & State ?
Yes, but not the separation of State and Corporations. She adheres to the old Blueshirt Corporatist Ideology on that.

Priest doesn't show up, local TD does mass lite for those who don't want a fully wasted afternoon, a bit odd, but so wjat? You have to ask who stayed and then was outraged enough to write to the bishop.

Neither of them do much good tbh. But it does seem she went on a bit of a solo run still high on this new wave of female liberation.

Indeed. The unholy Trinity of Modern Ireland. Corporatism, Statism, and Obedience to Brussels. In approximately that order too.

No wonder the corrupt media (serving the three, with real gusto) is focussing on bread&circuses.

Archbishop McAleese has no problem with that, although she may revert to her more orthodox views if they make her pope, or as she says herself, when they make her pope.
