This should be much more far reaching than the senior one.

A significant number of changes looks likely.

I would categorize them as follows:

Safe:
Helen McEntee
Sean Kyne
Patrick O'Donovan

Likely retained:
Andrew Doyle
Catherine Byrne
Pat Breen
Damian English

Facing the drop:
Marcella Corcoran Kennedy
Dara Murphy
David Stanton

To be promoted:
JP Phelan
Josepha Madigan
Jim Daly

In the mix:
Michael D'Arcy
John Deasy
Brendan Griffen
Ciaran Cannon
Fergus O'Dowd
Pat Deering
Martin Heydon

Thoughts?

Glad MCK is possibly going, after her defence of the custodial sentence punishment for woman who get abortions. The relevant remarks were during the debate on a bill for abolishing the punishment.

Reports on twitter indicate noone first elected in 2016 will get anything.

Why the hell is our tax being taken from us to enrich this bunch of nobodies? Most of them , incumbent or otherwise , have contributed shag all and are certainly not worth huge salaries and possible pensions. The people don't need them , just get them off the stage.

Dara Murphy appeared competent and with a change in boss at Iveagh house, would it not be worth keeping him for Brexit talks?

Yours (un)faithfully,
Dara.

Jim Daly, isn't he from Cork?
He'll get a promotion.

Be a slap in the face for Griffin if ignored he was out promoting Leo very early, opposed to most of the FG councillors in kerry who backed Coveney. He was overlooked by Kenny and I've a feeling he will be overlooked again.

And this one could be forced on them by the late Taoiseach.
Might not last long if FF decides to pull the plug. Though I've heard that Mickey Mouse wears a Micheal Martin wristwatch these days.

Martin won't pull the plug. It'll come from elsewhere.

Alan Farrell... is he the chap who was one of the first to employ the missus back in 2011 as parliamentary assistant despite his constituency party's disapproval?

If so he should be overlooked as casually as possible.

That was pretty widespread though, right?
Griffin made a big deal of not taking more than he previously earned ( think around $40k p.a.) in salary in a SF style move. Then it emerged his other half was his parliamentary assistant.......so household did ok thank you very much.....

My God but Kerry TDs are a basket case across the spectrum.

There are two from the Griffith Avenue area who are next to worthless! No need to travel too far for incompetence and sleaze! Not forgetting the Iar-Taoiseach from the same neck of the woods!
