At the annual meeting to approve the council budget, member expenses for 2013 were also agreed. These include:

*€452,000 in basic pay
*€45,000 for the Mayor and Deputy Mayor
*€178,000 for travelling to council meetings
*€108,000 for attending conferences
*€63,000 in "miscellaneous expenses" (?)
*€25,000 in retirement gratuities and
*€7,000 for travelling abroad (mostly Patrick's Day trips)

Only Toireasa Ferris voted against the scale of the expenses, and with the final vote being 19-1, it begs the question of why one-quarter of elected representatives couldn't bother to attend the meeting?

Presumably, she gets her share of the €452k - the aim of which originally was probably to encouraged unemployed and lower-paid individuals to run for local office. I'm far from a supporter of SF, but Ferris has been more consistent on such issues than the rest of her party.

Did Toireasa vote against the budget last year and the years before too and take any money?

Did Toireasa pay the Household Charge?

They will to PSFs Robert Beasley who voted for it.
Looks like we have a new member of the anti SF cabal to keep Tomas Mor/Eoin Coir and Johnny the pretend socialist company.

You really should talk to someone about your obsession with Sinn Fein.

Glad to see PSF supporters getting upset. Shows we are doing a good job exposing their greed, blind hatred and lies.

TBF you do a good job enough yourselves.
