Ever heard of a shinner who said they didn't believe the armed struggle was justified?
No idea about members but the majority of SF voters didn’t vote for SF until the peace process came into being ...

Imagine someone from FF or FG refusing to give a statement to the Gardai until they first "sought advice" from the party hierarchy.
Not hard to imagine at all that all sorts of Hierarchies get consulted, unless you've been living under a rock, many people don't trust AGS, and for good reason.

The Sinn Fein hierarchy behaves very similarly to the way the church hierarchy behaved regarding cooperation with the Garda investigations of child abuse. You would hear pious appeals for witnesses to cooperate with the criminal process while behind the scenes the same people would be doing their level best to insure that their personel did not cooperate with state authorities.

pity the witness didnt see jarry's words the night of the murder

"

Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams said he was “shocked” by the shooting in a brief statement issued last night.

“I extend my deepest sympathies to his family and colleagues and appeal to those with information about this crime to co-operate with the gardaí,” he added.

"

the media reports today seem to ignore that too, wonder why
Everybody knows that Jarrys words are not to be taken at face value. They are meant for media consumption, just like his protestations of never being in the IRA. No grass is going to get away with the excuse that Gerry said it was ok to do so on the six one news.

You would think Jarry and Daddy could sit down and sort this out, the Yanks pulling out or being told to pull out is not good for anybody, if the other Yank companies and MNCs see this happening there could be a mad rush for the exit, any other number of EU countries would love their business.

In reality they do not seem any closer and individuals already held keep challenging as to how they will be tried and their constitutional rights.

This is ground covered by Gardai and authorities many times in the past.

The special criminal court seems to have been effective against the Kinehan gang and seeking for their cases not to be held there seems to be a normal step.
Once it's set to go ahead, with the Kinehan cases anyway, it seems that typically the defendents pleaded guilty knowing there was no way to knobble the jury, and pleading down reduced the sentencing.
I'd like to think the net is tightening here on the ringleader
