Abortion tapes sting: Labour duo reveal plan to liberalise law bit by bit - Independent.ie

Finally for those of you who think I've been too hard on labour: The damning truth aboit how months BEFORE

Savitas death they plotted and planned for abortion on demand.

These recordings - made 4 months BEFORE that death now expose this whole sickening agenda for what it is: The
.abuse of a tragic death frok septicaemia to push an agenda.

Labour shd now hang their heads in shame

FG shd now run a mile from labours agenda. Better still hold an election.

And the media shd finally REPORT THE BLOODY FACTS AND NOT LABOUR/IRISH TIMES/RTE PRO ABORTION spin

A final point: Some of you dont like the Sindo

But today - whether you are pro choice or pro life - you must admit it has done what RTE failed to do in telling us the
truth about whats been going on

There is a case to be made for abortion legislation

But not like this

This sordid disgusting and shameful saga now exposes the rottenness at the heart of our sick unrepresentative politics

This is a non-story.

End of.
Very much not "End of"

Very much "Beginning of"

The beginning of the end.....

....for this legislation.

Or if not the end of Labour and possibly FG too

This is dynamite which will rock the coalition

The Sindo and the Harrisites are only trying to force labour out, bring down the government and restore FF.

Eoghan Harris to be a new senator, must have been another meeting between FF headquarters, and Indo team, just as there was in May 2007 with Sir AJ and Bertie/Biffo team ?

With this on top of the FF Ard Fheis motion (which was carried by 80%) to vote against any legislation that supports abortion due to suicide risk, this legislation is going to really struggle.

I disagree - lines are now being drawn that supporting this legislation is black and white supporting opening door to abortion on demand.
Will push more FG TDs into voting against it.

Two Labour TDs discuss abortion before yet another tragic hard case goads politicians into panicked action. At least it gave rise to yet another abortion OP with no substantive issues.

Why does RTE it says in the papers give prominence to this non story. Surprised Harris & Co have not another attack on RTE today also. Not doing Sindo bidding on Lowry, Sinn Fein etc ?

It is not as if they are making it up though. They have it on tape. All it shows is what we already know- political parties rarely level with the public and usually try to introduce measures in stages. This is a favourite tactic of many in politics, especially those of the EU-quisling variety, or those who plot radical social change for which there is not a clear majority in favour.
It is another very clear demonstration of how dangerous the reins of power can be when handed to social engineers, positivists, and those who have no respect for others. What also came across in the article was how little respect these fkrs have for rural Ireland. It is as if they view themselves as some sort of intellectual elite who need to comedown from the ether to explain things to all the muck savages outside the Pale. What a pack of wnkrs. I never thought I would say it but thank God for FG.

Because they don't see it as a non-story - because it isn't.

Labour has to get this legislation passed before the summer break, otherwise they serve no purpose in government unless it is to vote for Howlins 7% paycut. They just look kinda foolish now just there to make up the numbers for.F,G. Very damaging report in todays Independent that will be carried for a few days.

'Edited transcripts of the conversations, which were recorded at the TDs' constituency offices last June, are published in the Sunday Independent today.'

THAT is the REAL STORY here.

Why doesn't the Indo publish the actual tapes, so that we can all judge for ourselves what was actually said?
