Sarah Champion resigns from Labour shadow cabinet over Pakistani rapists column

I'm actually fairly disturbed by this in all honesty. If this is the direction society is headed in then we are all in very big trouble indeed.

The MP for Rotherham's piece was headlined: "British Pakistani men ARE raping and exploiting white girls... and it's time we faced up to it." This isn't a story she made up or dreamt this is an actual problem that exists in UK society and despite cover up's from powerful people within the establishment and liberals is being exposed on a weekly basis now.

Furthermore this is a woman who has campaigned on crucial issues around child protection her entire political career and now when she steps forward with the truth she get's told to resign by the absolute lefty prat that is Jeremy Corbyn.

I hope we are not headed in the same direction as the UK here in Ireland but i don't hold out much hope given the incredible bias within Leinster house when it comes to political correctness.

You'll never see a 'labour' TD in this country either resign or tell the truth.

Ms Champion is just another in a long line who don't understand that you shouldn't generalise. Some British pakistani men ARE raping and exploiting white girls. Many more British pakistani men ARE NOT raping and exploiting white girls.

Read her comments the other day. Asked my gf did she remember the MP who was featured in the documentary about the House of Commons a few years back, the lady she thought was so nice. She said, "I do; why?" I told her the Unas and Colms of the UK would be after her from now on.

Surprised it took so long, tbh.

There is a problem with some Pakistani men but also with parliamentarians, white working class communities in South Wales and Staffordshire and Boy Scout leaders.

Well, in the actual article she writes:

More than 90 per cent of abused children know their abuser — it is usually someone from within the extended family — and the vast majority of convictions are against white men acting alone.
However, as the latest case in Newcastle proves, we must accept that for gang-related child sexual exploitation, the convictions have largely been against British Pakistani men.

Nowhere does she even come close to suggesting that this goes beyond a small group of British Pakistani men.

Do you query the factual basis of the one generalisation she does make: "for gang-related child sexual exploitation, the convictions have largely been against British Pakistani men"?

It's the headline though. It said (and the full article is shown in the link in the opening post) "British Pakistani men ARE raping and exploiting white girls... and it's time we faced up to it." It's the headline I have an issue with

Fair enough, L'Chaim, but she didn't write the headline.

Yeah, cos you can see from the photo montage in the piece how wide of the mark that generalisation is.

Yea, headlines like 'IDF terrorists murder Palestinian children' don't suit you either, doesn't mean it's not happening though.

It wouldn't suit anybody (me included) who holds truth in high regard. To those who wouldn't know truth, if it stood up and kicked them, a headline like that wouldn't be a problem for them

Then why has she resigned?
Political pressure, obviously. Cue contrition, a period in the wilderness, and another post down the line.

But the bottom line remains: she placed the needs of vulnerable children over the risk of offending the PC police.

Interesting how the right and left of the UK press are reporting this.

The Corbyn fan mag the Indy is reporting that Champion claims the Sun changed her article 'significantly', which they deny. The Indy needless to say is reporting the matter almost without comment and juxtaposing it with a headline 'Jeremy Corbyn warns Theresa May she 'cannot stay silent' over Donald Trump's Charlottesville response'.

The Telegraph on the other hand draws attention to two other Sun-related events:-

'It came after fellow Labour MP Naz Shah wrote an open letter to the editor of The Sun, crticising numerous articles which she claimed were Islamophobic.

A subsequent petition was signed by Mr Corbyn, who posted on Facebook: "In recent days, The Sun has published statements that incite Islamophobia and stigmatise entire communities. That is wrong, dangerous and must be condemned". The Labour leader was thought to have included Ms Champion's article in this.'

It's clear that when it comes to a choice between 'difficult conversations' and placating Muslims within the party, Corbyn will always go for the latter. It's also clear that Labour Muslims, whatever their claims to the contrary, are not disposed to challenging 'cultural' crimes and misogyny within their own community. A reminder of why Labour sank so low in the decade before last June, and could do so again very easily if the current ultra-PC leadership remains in place.

Some is more than plenty given the thousands of rapes involved, imagine groups of these sub-human animals passing around children to be raped and exclusively picking on white native girls ? there is more to this than just sicko muslim scum organising into gang raping children, their targets were very specific and the liberal establishment do not want to open that can of worms as the race/religious card has been well played.

Cologne should have been the wake up call to what monsters were being let into Europe, the cover up within the muslim community is also as sickening as the Catholic Churches cover up,, but the sicko priests were not specifically targeting a race , they were universal in their crimes, the muslim child raping gangs in the UK were not targeting muslim children or those from their own particular race,, they only wanted young white girls to rape ??

This fact should not be brushed under the carpet, it is real , there is more going on here and the good muslims in the UK community need to really look at themselves in the mirror if they suspect something,,

BTW, Corbyn is one real piece of Sh1t,, a slimy little toad,

The point about Political Correctness is not that it's annoying (which it of course is) but that its limiting of what is considered acceptable discourse can have extremely dangerous results. Champion has shown herself more of a democratic socialist on this issue than Corbyn.

She didn't say 'all', but hey, although she spoke the truth, let's deliberately misunderstand her, and demonise her for our ability to find a reason not to deal with what she actually said, and lets try to divert attention from the actual substance of what she said, by being very 'offended' because of our pathetic and deliberate mis-interpretation of what we want to think she might have meant.

And lets ensure that our shock and offence is what is covered in the media, and not the substance of what she actually said.

Truly sickening, in the extreme.

The comments below this article say all that needs to be said.

Sarah Champion forced out of Jeremy Corbyn's shadow cabinet after warning Pakistani men are raping white girls
