The latest Sunday Business RED C Poll as tweeted by Pat Leahy earlier:-

FG 26% (-2%)

FF 26% (+1%)

SF 16% (N/C)

LAB 11% (N/C)

IND 21% (+1%)

This is the first time since October 2008 that FF have been as high as FG in this tracking poll according to Leahy.

Eoin Harris always said "FG are a Party obsessed by Opinion Polls" :shock2:

Fianna Fáil is as much a cure for the economy as acupuncture is a cure for cancer.
These results show that FF FG government is a near certainty.

I might as well say it now before somebody who invariably always says this on P.ie anytime we have a new opinion poll! "The next poll will be interesting!".

Invariably, it never is though and these polls are quite meaningless so far out from a general election and where there's always such a high percentage of "don't knows" in all of these polls!

That poll shows no statistically significant change. Perhaps one can say that FG's lead over FF has narrowed. That's all.

Given that RedC's adjustment mechanism is likely to favour parties who have lost support since the last election (last month FG were ahead by 1 in the unadjusted figures but the margin widened to 3 when adjustments were made) it's possible that FF could actually be ahead in the raw data.

SF seem to have stalled....

Nice basket! :D

Ps - have to say though that when you have the weather cycling is such a pleasurable pastime! Not that miles upon miles of serious cycling that some people get up to but the nice one or two miles cycle to work or just a nice easy going cycle around the local town!

Jesus, there's one poster on here with a serious Gerry Adams obsession.

Can't see the attraction myself, but sure each to their own.

SF seem to have stalled....

At 60% higher than their last GE result... they'd take hand and all off you for 16% FPV's in a general election in the morning.

The other significant thing about this poll, is that if these figures were replicated in a GE, there would likely be only two choices for the make up of the next Government... either FF/FG.. or SF and one of the either FF or FG... SF as kingmakers.. now that'll be interesting when it comes to coalition talks

Good man Enda, I knew you would give Fianna Fail a chance to get back in the game.
Be careful they might take your job.
