Leicester City - Premier League Champions!

It really is a fairytale story, in that this time 12 months ago, the club had to win seven out of their last games merely to avoid relegation. The manager responsible for that run was promptly sacked after a raucous Thailand party, and was replaced by Claudio Rainieri, who had been dismissed from his last post after losing to the Faroe Islands!

Furthermore, with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and the two Manchester clubs backed by billionaire oligarchs, Leicester's title odds in August were 5,000-1, with a squad comprised of Moneyball discards from the rest of the league. Yet nine months later, The Foxes have defied the odds, with only three defeats all season, Chelsea's draw with Tottenham confirming a historic English crown for the Midlanders!

Ranieri had a £5 Million bonus put into his contract for winning the league title at the start of the season!

I don't follow the EPL (anymore).

Has Leicster City won it this year?

Is that what this thread is about?

Fairytale yes. Not a fan of any club anymore so as a neutral was hoping it was going to go to the final weekend. Hopefully it won't turn out in the future that doping had a part to play in them getting the title. Good luck to them. It was a pretty awful season by the so called top clubs that gifted them the season so they have been the best of a bad lot.

It wont be like the Olympics or Tour de France.
There has never been anything like Leicester's win in sport, not to mind football.

No being a west-Brit I don't follow the foreign games myself of course.

But this is a great story. Its hard not to be happy for them.
