Lethal incompetence: The EU, the migrant crisis and the Mediterranean

1 year. 1 million illegal migrants. Billions in revenue for the hostile forces actively engaged in undermining EU law and order. Uncountable rapes, thefts, assaults, murders, local tragedies later, the EU now tentatively admits what many of us could see that before they even began.

The EU "Mission" in the med did exactly what it looked like (and many said) it would do:

a) Actively contribute to the Mediterranean route attractiveness
b) Increase the numbers crossing
c) Do nothing to tackle the problem at source.

Failure. A litany, across the board of abject failure. And it's not like this was hard to predict or that this is once off. The agreement with Turkey is also a shambles. Please remember: these are the people to whom we entrust the peace, security and prosperity of ourselves and our children. Is there reasonable grounds to doubt the competency of those in control of our continent?

If I was a prospective migrant watching the RTE news, I'd be on the next boat to Europe too.

It's all about multinationals and people like peter sutherland and former neo nazi collaborator and billionaire george soros of open society putting pressure on our governments lobbying hard to get these so called ''migrants'' into our countries...Its all about cheap labour for these multinationals, from au pairs to factory workers on the cheap, and feeding the insatiable appetites of fat cat landlords and golf stick swinging CEO's of charities and businesses...It's not about social justice, the ''social justice warriors'' are just doing the bidding of these rich elites like the plebs they are and people like Paul Murphy (and PBP) the pied piper is stringing them along...

No it's not. Soros is neither a neo-nazi nor the anti-christ. Himself and suds would have no traction were it not for the profound befuddlement of EU voters. And it has everything to do with them.
Sutherland went to a jesuit school,he is an anti-christ and so is soros, you should look up their history, geroge soros told an american news station some years back that his role as a 14 year old nazi confiscating land off the jews and sending them to a sure death was the ''happiest time in his young life'' - he is a psychopath....

It's fairly well established that our votes for the European Parliament have zero impact on the course of the EU while votes for local pot-hole fixers rarely improve national and certainly not EU governance. Democratic deficit and all that.

If you mean EU voters should be voting for anti-immigrant parties, well most people think those parties have no claim to govern better on any other topic and genuinely don't like the idea of making immigrants less comfortable in their country.

I don't. The "anti-immigrant" parties are made up of fascists and nincompoops. We need someone rational and careful. What we have are multi-culti fabulists and poseurs.

I wouldn't be as pessimistic as some. The reason being that Germany isn't afraid to legislate against hate crimes - understandable given its history.

It is the sheer scale of Islamic immigration that lies at the root of the problem.

Islamic culture does not accept secularist politics.

Do you reckon the abstract notion of hate crimes is going to motivate the Bangladeshi/Eritrean/Afghan/Pakistani to pause for a single moment and contemplate where he (yes, he) is headed? I don't believe it likely. Those on their way have been raised on the story of western gullibility. And it is that they seek and wish to dine out upon.

The lack of agency you grant the in state actors in all of this is sort of patronizing and insulting, don't you think that the whackjob islamists are perfectly capable of arriving at exactly the same messy end point without Western 'help'? The Sunni/Shia conflict has been ongoing for hundreds of years, another big flair up was due.

It's grating to the European public that this mass migration has been permittled, simply because the bEUrocracy can't face a hard decision to protect European boarders because they don't want the UN to call them 'mean'.
