Divorced since 2009.
Another case of the quirks of fate taking Limerick from centre stage of the world's attention. The Leader covered a similar incident back in 1985 when it headlined "Limerick men's narrow escape at Heysel" when two of the city's chip shop owners were going to support Juventus at the European Cup final in Brussels but changed their mind at the last minute. Had they gone, they probably would have been in the same section of the ground where the Liverpool supporters rioted, resulting in the death of 39 Italian supporters.

Close shave alright. The number of Italians killed could have run into the hundreds if they had made it.

I'm bigly disappointed with your lack of belief in Limerick's influence on the world. Who is to say that had they not split up and had she worn the pants in the house (and there's no evidence that she didn't), Donald Trump's ear would be bending to whatever Diane wanted. Note, the Leader also categorically states that she's still good friends with Bannon.

It's obvious you weren't paying attention to the body language when the Donald met Michael Noonan in Shannon three years ago. Everybody there except the fake news reporters of the MSM could see that it was Trump, not Baldy, who was doing the ar$e-licking. Unfortunately, once again Limerick was mis-represented in the media.

It's still possible that Diane is getting a word in edgeways. We'll know for sure when the Cecil is refurbished as Trump Towers Limerick, an Ivanka mega-boutique opens up beside the euroshop on William Street, a terrific wall is built along Lansdowne Creek and Clare is forced to pay for it and the Dundons are supplied with a squadron of stealth bombers, a battery of cruise missiles, a brigade of the Marines and an aircraft carrier to finally deal with the yuuuge threat posed to the Great Limerick Dream by the Collopys and the Keanes.

Nah...we only get serious with local Limerick derbies.....Shannon, Garryowen, Young Munster...if you've ever been to one of those, you'd know - if not, you haven't lived ;)

She wouldn't have been related by any chance to Peadar Clohessy RIP the one time PD Deputy from Limerick?
Bannon is now on wife Number 3? Who does he think he is? Donald Trump?

Rugby is what would automatically spring to my mind, I must say.

Explains why Tommy Mc was trying to ride on the coat tails Limerick's paramount position in the world when he invited the Donald to Kerry.
Whatever or whoever else, please do NOT mention him!!!

Proving once again that the influence of our cosmopolitan city knows no bounds

President Trump's top man: Steve Bannon's Limerick wife - Limerick Leader

Suck it up, ye Dublin jackeens, ye Cork langers ...
When I was growin' up in Dublin there used to be a saying "Nearly never won the race ..."

"Steve Bannon, the man who graces the cover of this week’s Time magazine and is described as the second most powerful man in the world, was married to Ms Clohessy before their divorce in 2009."
