The murder of Francis O'Reilly wasn't sectarian. He was killed because he was a member of the RUC, an annonymous face in a shield wall battling loyalist thugs.

If constable O'Reilly had been murdered by Republicans you would, no doubt, have approved of it.

You will also agree then that when Irish insurgents targeted/target members of the RUC/PSNI that their actions are not sectarian.

We shouldn't lose sight of the fact that the loyalist groups were ran by and therefore were another arm of the British security forces. No doubt some acts of violence were individuals acting on their own but the climate was already set through British manipulation for a sectarian frenzy.

Still amazes me that people actually believe this sort of tripe. Yes, there were occasions of collusion - but it is downright ludicrous to suggest the loyalist paramilitaries were actually ran by the British.

When was there a police officer, catholic or otherwise, killed by a pipe bomb in drumcree since 1998?
