Another one of the dinosaur's gone. The PUL community are moving towards civilisation and acclimatisation into the modern world one body at a time,

Nuttier than a fruitcake. Could've mistaken him for a DUPer his love for the green. Taxied from Belfast to Dublin using our money as he was too embarrassed to be seen in a kilt on public transport. We'll leave it right there. Close thread.

Ulster Prods love to believe that they are a down to earth people and yet Ulster Prods probably have the most space cadets per capita of any other group upon these Isles. I remember going once about the "honesty and integrity" of the Ulster Protestant- shamelessly. That capacity for self-deception I think is the most dangerous part both to self and others in Loyalist culture.

I've been to Artigarven. It doesn't look like the kind of place that would have a Lord.

Eccentric, flamboyant, colourful, and like everyone not without his failings, but he was a true gent and loved his country and heritage whilst respecting all traditions.

A true Ulster man who never forgot his roots in West Tyrone, Lord Laird of Artigarvan has passed away.

My thoughts and sympathies go out to his family.

You know it's Western Europe's most primitive community when a man like that receives such reverence. Alas, perhaps the PUL piesters aren't a representative sample. One would hope that the average PUL nordie doesn't worship anti-progress figures to the same extent.

Lord Empey, the Ulster Unionist Party's chairman, said Lord Laird had a "lifetime commitment to unionism and Ulster-Scots culture which he demonstrated in his own colourful and flamboyant way".

Hhhhmmmmnnnn.......
