Lowry & Healy-Rae talks - a pointless farce

Today, "crunch talks" are to be held with Messrs Lowry and Healy-Rae in relation to the Budget. Later, in the afternoon, they are expected to confirm their voting intentions, but does anyone honestly expect that they won't meekly toe the line after being bought off with a few vague constituency promises?

With the lack of Pork in the barrel now I think the local gombeen men will accept a plausable line they can feed their constituency back home.

Didn't JHR signal during the week that he can be bought if he is allowed to pretend he stopped a hit to the OAPs.

I'm not sure what will buy Lowreys vote.

Long live parish pump politics. How these morons get elected should be a case for deep psychiatric study on a certain section of the electorate!

They either agree or disagree to the budget. They cannot do both at the same time. Do they get a peek preview at another of Lenihan's blunders before the MAJOR opposition parties?

If you think any of the independents have been "meekly" doing anything then you really haven't been paying attention for the last 5 years.

I'm not sure what will buy Lowreys vote.
The casino. Look for gambling legislation reform to be scheduled for withing the next 2 weeks.

Did you hear Minishtur Demsphey on MI earlier bemoaning how the public had lost faith in Politics, and it was all the Opposition's fault. Stomach turning stuff, from a senior member of the worst Cabinets in Irish History.

I sincerely hope that the good people will have the sense to show Dempsey where to go at the GE. He is another FF man who needs consigning to the dustbin of history.

Chide him not.
That's the sort of guff that's kept them in power for the past 13 years.
No harm in testing to see if the morons who voted for them are still willing to swallow the same old s**te.

Also, Dempsey, along with other cabinet colleagues, is in severe denial even as they mount the steps to the scaffold.

Yes and it looks like he is considering the chicken run. He'll live high on the hog for the rest of his life at our expense.

Just how can a deal be done with these gombeens? Surly the next government can stop the building of the hospital or road or whatever it is that these gombeen traitors want?

You should see the mansion he is building in Trim. There are some big houses in Meath, but none bigger than King Noels new castle.

Well said. Not just a casino but a super casino.

Both Lowry & JHR will vote with the government in tomorrow’s budget, they will be given classic FF ‘assurances’ on relaxation of gambling laws and a new by-pass in South Kerry and yes they are stupid enough to fall from more lies.

FG and Labour should send out the lowest ranking members of their parliamentary parties to the plinth at the same time as the Healy-Rae lowry farce is due to finish to deliver a quick one liner along the lines of any deal done with these two jokers will be torn up and sent the way of all s**te as soon as the election is over. They should also express an intention to make life as difficult as possible for all constituencies who return independents after the next election obviously tied to strong electoral reform policies.

When the present crowd of gobsh1tes in the Dail have been given the bum's rush and a new lot elected, hopefully neither Lowry nor Healy-Rae will be among them. It is indeed true to say that one is as good as the other - a pointless fart.:):):)
