Fair play to our brothers & sisters across the water. A fantastic turnout. Of course there wasn't a single mention of it in the media. Makes it rather obvious who they're really working for.

The EU is fundamentally a democratic institution.

The Parliament is elected directly by citizens of the member countries.

The Council is made up of elected Ministers from the member countries.

The Commission is run by nominees of the governments of the member countries.

All governments have been elected by their own citizens.

Many of these democracies were former members of the Soviet Union and were governed by totalitarianism before joining the EU.

All members of the EU from the biggest to the smallest have a veto on vital national interests.

Given those facts why are those morons marching to support tearing up the treaty signed with nearly thirty European democracies and calling for the demise of the EU?

Are you on medication? The "treaty"....was democratically rejected 3 fkn times under different names by 3 different countries. Of course leave to the dopey Irish...to be forced and fooled into ratification.

The EU is doomed. Just a matter of time.
A fascist bunch of contact. ...whose project is starting to buckle as people see it for what it is.

With any luck.....someone from the Brexit camp will mobilise people maybe using social media to get hundreds of thousands on the streets demanding the democratic will of the people be honoured.

Someone .....dare I say it.....like Tommy...

That would be sweet revenge on "the state".

Without prejudice one comment from youtube:
Could it be that this crowd is only a group of 200 circling the block over and over? A trick used by an American commander at the battle of the Bulge. He ordered his small-compliment of armor to circle the block in a small town continuously so the German spotters thought it was a huge force with 100's of tanks

In relation to Europe Brexit is racially motivated and is throw back to the 1930s in which everyone was at one another's throat.

The EU replaced a situation in which imperial/totalitarian arrogance reduced parts of the continent to rubble.

In relation to Ireland tearing up the Good Friday Agreement is a throw back to colonial times of plantations, penal laws starvation etc.

The GFA had drawn a line under centuries of colonial exploitation.

Brexit has torn it up.

Citizens of democracies change their minds when situations change and more information is available.

Otherwise it is totalitarian.

?
the overturn of the irish vote in the Lisbon Treaty. Sure, very democratic.

the bailout of the banks

the blind acceptance of all comers from the developing world

currency crisis , mass unemployment across all of the North Mediterranean.

all very democratic and popular with EU citizens.
