Apparently Harry Houdini's offspring was in court in Limerick today. Gardai objected to his bail on the grounds that he presented a flight
risk, and then he escaped again.

A man has escaped from garda custody after been (being) refused bail on a charge of escaping garda custody.
Gardaí issue alert after man charged with escaping garda custody flees from officers in court again | BreakingNews.ie
Are the GRA going to blame Garda management, or is this an issue with counting?

People need to think more about what they post especially when they're starting a new thread.

Obviously some rank-and-file Garda is already taking the blame for this, and it's likely that the more adverse publicity this attracts the greater will be the consequences for his take-home pay and career prospects.

That's particularly so at present when the AGS leadership are trying to win brownie-points by being tough on their underlings.

Provided you don't say anything that is legally defamatory the people at the top, that is Superintendents and above, are fair targets. It's part of their job and they're paid accordingly.

But it's never Christian to unnecessarily highlight the shortcomings of an identifiable individual garda (or gas repairman, or whatever)

I know of a lad that was being interviewed in a second floor interview room for cashing a fake cheque, Guards left him alone with the evidence which he promptly ate and leaped out the window. True story.

The Keystones are at it again.
Tell me again why they were given €50 million in pay rises last year?
Performance related, was it?

I believe he only escaped once but they said twice stupidly thinking it improved the figures.
