There has been calls by the Opposition in Kuwait to boycott tomorrow's parliamentary elections. The Opposition are angered by what they see as the Emir's increasingly authoritarian and corrupt rule as well as the amending of election laws that would favour the opposition. The Opposition show no signs of stepping back and are determined to go ahead with the boycott and more protests. There is a real fear of the wider implications of unrest in the oil rich state as it could send oil prices rising.
