that would be the equivelent of the burst, we would be in recession for many years, if goverments cannot make a half decent job of the 26 countys, what kind of a mess would they make of 32
Think of the EU grants man! We would be the EUs shining beacon. Anyway we need a real counterweight to Dublin (and I say that as a dub). The town of Cork is simply too insignificant.

Theresa desperately seeking approval

Donald Trump, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and now Enda Kenny.

What's the bet that she will meet Alexis Tsipras next with the offer of a rescue package?

That'll give the EU guys a good message!

If countries had stood by Greece instead of kicking them when they were down, led by Noonan and Ireland, perhaps Brexit wouldn't have happened.
Just think about that.

You think Ireland and Noonan led the beat down of Greece.
The example of how Greece was treated, the success of the approach, and the continuing question of what next for Greece all played a role in Brexit.

But Ireland and Noonan didnt lead it. They went along with it like the good stooges they are.

We (Britain) need to do deals, but seeing the Turkish leader so soon after his crackdowns... can't say I'm thrilled with that.

What? That's news to me. There was the British paranoid about Johnny Foreigner all 3,000 of them in Calais ready to take their jobs and women and all that. Never a mention of Greece. In fact most the Brits would reckon Tsipras is some sort of STD. Thats what they know about Greece.

Noonan was one of the most outspoken critics of Greece and was to the fore in the sick way that country was treated.

N.B. Hard and all as they hit Greece, their doctor/patient ratio and their beds per head of population ratio is still far superior than the mess Noonan and his blueshirt scum can deliver here.

You really should be less thrilled by the deal the Americans have in mind............................
https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2017/jan/29/britain-us-trade-deal-gm-food-eu-rules

Those of us who want to eat safe, healthy food awoke to a nightmare on Tuesday, a chilling interview on Radio 4’s Today programme. Bob Young, chief economist at the American Farm Bureau Federation, made it crystal clear that any US trade deal struck by Theresa May would be contingent on the UK public stomaching imports of US foods that it has previously rejected: beef from cattle implanted with growth hormones, chlorine-washed chicken, and unlabelled genetically modified (GM) foods.

Greece pissed away billions in borrowed money public sector pay, pensions and welfare in a manor that would make Irish politicians blush. The Greeks ****ed Greece, nobody else. I can guarantee the whole Greek fiasco had not a blind bit of impact on Brexit. You think the semi-literate sun reading brexiter voted to leave because the EU, 2 bailouts later, wouldn't write down Greece's debt?

Maybe if the Greeks were not so corrupt then people would have some sympathy for they.

Utter bilge.
That's your opinion and you're entitled to it.
Fact is, the EU is a mess where solidarity doesn't exist.
Britain jumped before the whole thing implodes, which it will.

Enough has been said about Enda over the years, but beside May, we see that it could be so much worse...

Although I don't disagree, the main reason those of us wanted Brexit is much more to do with our identity and culture especially immigration control, than specific issues with the EU.
