This govt is obviously selling us down the river. They will surrender the corporate-tax rate for jobs in Brussels.

" Logic says don't sacrifice your sovereignty to bail out the hyper-rich, democracy says it is unfair to penalise the poor for the mistakes of the rich. "

Slavery is what the banking elite want. After all that is what they think non-banking people are fit for. Hewers of wood and drawers of water in what was their own land, to return the Irish people to this status; is what Brian Cowen was appointed Taoiseach for, to finish the job that de Valera started.

The current government policy of paying back bank bondholders in full is going to beggar the nation. We desparately need an opposition that will refuse to contemplate such a thing and then a general election.

Someone needs to tell these bank bond holders to get lost. If none of the Dáíl parties has the guts to do it the sans-culottes will have their say.
