We build strong brick houses in Ireland. Hurricane pftttttt.

Why do they build wooden houses in hurricane land USA for the big hurricane wolf to blow down?
Cos brick houses are harder to rebuild after a hurricane blows the crap out of it.

Click on EARTH bottom left for MENU. Then opposite CONTROL go forward button to Monday 16th. Right on the West Coast
Lahinch is in for one hell of a bashing. The wind will be from the worst possible direction.

On Monday, an Atlantic storm from the remnants of Hurricane Ophelia will move northwards close to Ireland. There is still a high degree of uncertainty regarding the exact track and evolution of the storm. However, storm force winds, heavy rain and high seas are threatened. Met Eireann will continue to monitor this storm and will issue appropriate warnings as required.

Still nothing from Met.ie... just we are looking into it...;)
