Simon Coveney: Yes, but we cant get into where theyll be at this stage. They could be in the sea, they could be... But once you start talking about checks anywhere near the border, people will start delving into that and all of a sudden well be the government that reintroduced a physical border on the island of Ireland.

Mr Coveneys comments reveal the truth that the threat of border posts comes not from the UK but from the EU forcing Dublin to do so.

Some sectarian people from Castlederg, if I'm not mistaken. To be fair, the IFA banned the culprit who was positively identified.
Pity we couldn't say the same about the Tyrone GAA players.

A Tyrone player called a girls band "Huns". They did not say they hated Prodestants. Lithuanian and Poles was very worked up about that particular insult. Its a funny world when you have to explain that the insult was not directed at as Catholics but people they think of as "Nationalists".

A hate crime or incident is defined by the victims.

Singing IRA songs is a hate crime against Protestants.
Northern Irish protestants talking about "hate crimes " is like having the Nazis discussing democracy .

You'd know all about hate crimes against Protestants in Fermanagh.

Remind me of the deaths again?

120 or so Protestants murdered by the IRA and 3 Catholics IIRC.

If that is your view could you define what criteria should be applied to songs/tunes that you would apply to see if they was acceptable.

Talking of hate crimes have you ever got round to condemning any of sectarian murders of your neighbours by the IRA...
