Talks about being a straight talker, but getting a straight answer from him is a challenge.

He is actually quite dogmatic

It depends on what you mean by representing their constituents. Most of the independents ran on 1 issue campaigns, whether it was rural GP's or water charges etc, that was the only real issue or interest they had. I spoke to a few that called to my house and wasn't impressed with any of them, so none of them got my vote.
