May God protect them in the mouth of the lion and give comfort to their families and loved ones.

never miss a chance to make yourself sound totally ridicolous do you?

Bucket loads of arrests being made since mi5 warned about a hightened security risk. There was a similiar spades of arrests earlier on in the month when bombs were being found under a few policemans cars. At the time I wondered that maybe there were more people involved in dissident activity than most assumed. Though after those arrests things calmed down a lot and only 1 bomb has gone off since. With these arrests taking place recently I predict things will thankfully remain calm for the rest of the year.

Following on from significant arrests in the ROI the PSNI have arrested four men near Cookstown.

Four arrested as gun found in car in Cookstown

Hopefully more to follow.
1. Could you attempt to give your threads more meaningful titles, e.g. Four Arrested as Gun Recovered in Tyrone
2. Why do you hope for more arrests? Do you hope more people break the law? Or that more people get involved with dissidents? Seems a bizarre thing to hope for.

We dont know if they are "guilty" or not yet....
Yes ,not charged and not guilty as yet,but being in a car with a gun highlights the fact they were intercepted ,based on information .Doh !!!!!!
Lets see if they can talk their way out .Anyway takes them off the road and saves somebody's life.

Even by your standards that is a daft post.

1) More arrests to highlight that this is part of a series of actions against terrorism on both sides of the border.

2) What utter bilge. Shows where your sympathies lie. You think people shouldn't be arrested for crimes committed since the GFA ? You don't want dissidents breaking the law at the moment to be arrested ?

You should be ashamed of yourself.

Except you just said 'More arrests'. People get arrested every day for all kinds of reasons. 'More arrests' is meaningless. Pick better tltles for your crap posts

Bilge - I like it. If you exist in a perpetual state of hoping for more arrests it follows that either you want more crime or a police state where the prisons are overflowing.

The dissidents have committed crimes for which arrests have still to be made - dissidents are at present breaking the law . It's well seen that you don't want them taken off the streets.

You should bring this vital information to the police.

What I find disturbing is that a 71 year old was picked up recently. Reportedly a former Provo. Perhaps even a veteran of the Border Campaign era? If the Real IRA has managed to recruit former Provos (as the newspapers are constantly claiming) then it may only be a matter of time until another tragedy occurs.

Would they take him seriously though?

If that gun might have ended up pointed at your head or being fired at one of your family or friends you might feel differently ..... so easy to be blasé across the pond .....
