More than half of FF Parliamentary Party come out against Abortion

MORE than half of the Fianna Fail parliamentary party has posed for a photograph to promote a ‘No’ vote in the forthcoming referendum on the Eighth Amendment of the Constitution.

The exclusive photograph, obtained by Independent.ie, shows for the first-time the number of Fianna Fail TDs who are opposed to repealing the Eighth Amendment and allowing unrestricted abortion up 12 weeks of pregnancy.

The picture of 31 TDs and senators was taken on Tuesday evening in Merrion Square in Dublin City Centre.

This is excellent News!

FF TDs are smart boys & girls when it comes to having their collective noses to the ground in their constituencies

- its obvious the feedback they are getting points towards a majority NO vote.

If they smelt for a moment the wind was drifting the other way

- they wouldn't touch this with a bargepole.....

If they thought Repeal would win be sure they wouldn't go near it

- which politician wants to be on the losing side?

If this fails then be sure McGrath will be out to take down MM.

LOL, Fianna Fail the genius party.

Remind me of how they are literally hanging onto Fine Gael to stop them being totally irrelevant...

I know quite a few FF'ers, most of them middle-aged to elderly.
The whole issue doesn't seem to exercise them at all. Most of them seem to wish to just get it out of the way.

Is there a corresponding photo for Repeal... of FF or FG?

That tells its own story.

Dara Calleary, FF Deputy Leader, is playing a blinder. He's been on the Retain platform beside Ganley, Toibin and McGuirk.

Playing politics is so much more enjoyable when your conscience and political interests coincide.

Trying to suck-up to the rural Catholic Healy-Rae voter base - and all the while waging a finger at FG.

Yes the men and women of Ireland voted for them, democracy hasn't gone away you know.

If women and men want more women in the Dail and there should be and it would be for the betterment of the place they need to actually vote for women, mickey mouse quotas are a joke.
