Phew. Glad May will be the one to steer the UK off a cliff and not one of those other fools.

The BBC's Laura Kuenssberg says the margin of victory, with 117 MPs voting against her, is "not at all comfortable" for the PM and a "real blow" to her authority.

Sky News Dept Pol Ed - says the same thing - its not a good enough victory

Still a wider margin than brexit and apparently that's written in the hardest British granite etc..etc..

Definitely not good for May. A weak leader is something that the Tory party does not need at this time.

Almost 2-1 in her favour.
More than she got when she was elected leader.

Yeah, 52-48 is a cast iron victory that cannot be revisited, but 63-37 is terrible.

A slap in the face for the DUPpers all the same.
Plus, she can't be challenged for 12 months.

Shocking result for Theresa May. Even having offered to go before the next general election she still has a huge 117 Tory MPs, a third of her party, voting against her and not having confidence in her. Wow.

This is great, perfect result. May wounded stumbling around in the cornfield leading the Tories to the quicksand of oblivion and splitsville.:geek:

For all the talk about NI being an important part of the UK, I'd think that there are some in the Tory party who would gladly accelerated a border poll.

When she was elected leader she got 165 votes in the first round and 199 in the second. So one up on that.

There were more Tory MPs back then, maybe one anti-May MP lost their seat when she pulled her snap election stunt.
