Nulty 14.3 (LB)
O' Donovan 13 (LB)
Coppinger 12.9 (SP)
Dennison 12.6 (FG)
Donnolly 11.3 (SF)
McGuinness 9.2 (FF)
Ogunsina 7.3 (FF I think)
Moran 5.4 (FF)
Dennis 4.8 (SP)

Sorry there are two other Nigerian candidates but I have forgotten there names. One got 4.7 and one 3.2.

FF are calling the last seat. I am hearing that the Shinners are looking very glum

I suspect the SFer will hold on from FF. In locals transfers do not follow party lines.

oh those first counts it looks like it will be David and Paul fighting for the last seat, unless the nigerian vote transfers to Adeola on mass. Any word on castleknock yet

That's much more like what I would have expected than what was coming in from the first few hours according to the other thread. The African (Nigerian?) independent's name is Okafor, and there was another independent, McGrail, I gather she came lower again?

Brilliant for Kieran and Fine Gael if we get him elected. On a work rate basis he deserves to be elected. Fine Gael haven't had a councillor here since 1991. Kieran getting elected will enable Eithne to focus on Castleknock. For the last two years she has been covering both wards. And of course Kieran getting elected will be great for consolidating Leo's seat.

I expect Leo's vote to go up in the next GE now... The party should only go from strength to strength now in Dublin West...

So Adeola could yet snatch the last seat from one of these two charmers?

Ha - a Classic if it pans out that way!:p
Someone on another thread said that the Nigerians were just voting No.1 without any transfers, plus the bad blood between them - FORGET IT!:D

Stunned by Donnelly's poor performance. Niamh Moran will transfer well to McGuinness - Donnelly to miss out

Sorry when I spoke to Kieran I was only really interested in getting the names of the main contenders. I wasn't really interested in the rest. I think she got 4.5.

If those figures are correct then the largest parties in Mulhuddart are:
Labour 3594
Fine Gael 2614
FF 2547
SP 2347

The Trots will be bitterly disappointed because they were the largest party last time. They will be celebrating overall though given Higgins's performance in Castleknock and in the Euro's.

Hardly bitterly disappointed. They've held their seat and weren't genuinely expecting another. McGrail's transfers are in. Coppinger got 28, Nulty 26, Dennison 12, Donnelly 15, McGuinness 10.

Okafor next, very interesting to see where is 491 votes go.
