Didnt some far right religious group use robocallers to call people before the last abortion vote in the Dail?

I wonder what this is about?

Investigation after hoax bomb calls to several schools around...

Apparently the same thing happened across Britain on monday,

Hoax bomb threats to Irish schools follow British alerts

Copy cat or the beginnings of a campaign?

Any ideas?
We used get them all the time in secondary school back in the seventies. One time, the cops put their heads in the door and told us to evacuate, but our science teacher made us finish copying from the board before he let us out...

In those cases, it was messers.

But simultaneous calls to several schools is weird.

There's not much information leaking from the gardaí or the schools. The wording, accent, grammar and emphasis would reveal a good deal. Hopefully one of our many intrepid journalists is on the case.

The only way to beat hoax bomb threats is to ignore them. I'm not saying ignore bomb threats that are credible but blatant hoaxes should be ignored.

Indeed. Allow anyone to paralyse a city centre for example just by ringing round the dept stores, saying theres a bomb - but we're not telling you where or who we are. Code word, shmode-word, allahu ahkbar!

Giggle, giggle.
