It's that time of year again for bball fans, the long drought is over. The pre-season games have started already as we warm up to the season opener on 25 October 8:00 pm ET (26 October 1:00 am our time) between the reigning champs the Cleveland Cavaliers at home to the New York Knickerbockers.

Lots of big moves during free agency, lots of players getting huge new contracts. King James resigned with the Cavs 3 years for $100 million. On the other hand his starting teammate JR Smith can't catch a break on the money side with the Cavs, and as of today is still holding out.

The Warriors look like they want that title back and signed KD in the offseason.

Is this also the season that the Lakers start the post-Kobe rebuild?
