Fresh on the heels of Sf/Ra attempts to force proddies to pray in Irish the GAA indoctrination stormtroopers have been unleashed on PUL teenagers....

Boys ‘under pressure’ to take part in GAA at Co Antrim school

explained parents’ concerns with the GAA, saying: “I have no problem with the GAA. It is what it is, but the GAA has a problem in working-class unionist areas. People living in these estates never had anything to do with the GAA, and the GAA never had anything to do with them.

“There are cups named after dead IRA men. What’s some young boy in a band supposed to do? It is not fair that they’re being put in this position. “Don’t get me wrong, I am not that daft to think that everyone in the GAA are out-and-out republicans, but GAA is seen in that way by unionists.”

Examples of these concerns are numerous...

A GAA club in Dungiven, Co Londonderry, is named after INLA member and former player Kevin Lynch.

An under-12s football contest is played at Cardinal O’Donnell Park, west Belfast, in honour of the IRA man Joe Cahill

The Cumann na Fuiseoige GAA club honours IRA hunger striker Bobby Sands.

There is also a Bobby Sands Memorial soccer cup contest, held during the Feile an Phobail festival in west Belfast.

A girls’ camogie championship played in Tullysaran, Co Armagh, was named after IRA woman Farrell.

A commemorative Martin Hurson hunger striker Memorial cup final is played every year at Galbally Pearses Football Field near Dungannon in Co Tyrone.

The Michael McVerry IRA cup is played for in Cullyhanna, Co Armagh, each year.

Palyed at Loughmacrory, the Gerard and Martin Harte IRA brothers Memorial cup is now one of Tyrone's foremost under-12 Gaelic football tournaments.

The ground in Donagh, Fermanagh, was named after IRA man Louis Leonard.

The Paddy Kelly cup was played in Dungannon, Co Tyrone as part of commemorations for the IRA Loughgall “martyrs”.

The home ground of the St Teresas GAA club in west Belfast is named after hunger strikers Joe McDonnell and Kieran Doherty.

Lochrie/Campbell GAA Park in Dromintee, south Armagh is named after IRA members Jim Lochrie and Sean Campbell who were killed when a land mine exploded prematurely at Kelly's Road, Killeen in 1975.

Yep. How dare dem fenians try and teach us something we might end up liking in the interests of cross community progression. Loud and clear, bridges, loud and clear. :)

I assume you also know what "opt-out" means in the English language? It means no-one is being forced to do it.

BTW, what's your opinion on the "game of three halves"?

Seriously Holls would ye accept yer kids being encouraged to play a sport with Clubs, grounds, gates, medals, Cups and competitions in memorial to UVF terrorists?

BTW, what's your opinion on the "game of three halves"?

Possibly as the IFA are one of its sponsors.

While I accept the naming conventions might not sit well, I missed the link to your claim PUL kids are being forced to play agri sports. Could you show me where that is happening?

This sort of outreach has been going on for ages ... Unfortunately, sad little bigoted crackpots like our resident goat rider bwigey cant stomach such integration ...

He's also using this as a deflection away from his lying crackpot friends from the DUP..

Its people like bwigey that has lead to the lack of integration of the planters to the indigenous people ... So, no one else to blame but people like himself when the inevitable happens...

No one is forcing anyone to play anything anyway what harm does it do to do a bit of activity to keep them fit there's a thousand things worse they could be doing.

To be fair, the GAA can't have it both ways. They take peace and love money but still primarily consider themselves part of the cultural nationalist movement. Have a read of the GAA constitution. It's very 1930s.
