As part of the Programme for Government, a commitment has been made to re-open six Garda stations, and while none have been named, media reports claim that one will be Stepaside, as coincidentally demanded by Shane Ross. Given his regular broadsides against political cronyism, one would have thought his personal purity would last longer than five days!
Perhaps the commitment to reopen will include some mechanisms to measure and to assess any effect that re-opening the station might have on crime figures in the area.

It will probably take a few years to get the station refitted and fit for purpose. They may even need to totally redo the place, its a pretty old building. By the time it is ready the Govt may have fallen and there will be no hurry to open. Ross will have done his duty to his voters and we can all be happy.

penis non erectus as we would say in childhood is the latin for Stillorgan.

Is Lord Ross still writing each week in the Sindo

While Ministers occasionally write articles ( or have them written ) on current topics, I don't think a Minister should have a weekly column

No such place.

There is, however, a Bastardstown here in Wexford!:)

You're awful Rural, lying to an English gent. There's loads of Ballygobackwards. They wouldn't know what hit the if BB rolled up in his heels of a Saturday night.
