Eh, no. That statement is total rubbish, the NCT in Ireland is extremely thorough and strict.

But if generalisations like this make you feel superior and happy, knock yourself out.
Me thinks you both protest too much.
And n point two, personally speaking it does.

Protest? I don't give a fiddler's fukk, but thanks for caring.:)

But I'm happy that you're happy.

This is a non-story. Few, if any, motorists will comply with this unenforced regulation.

I shall be writing to the PSNI and Garda chief constable to ensure enforcement of this important piece if government regulation.

A GB sticker, and an international driving permit, the AA used to do them in cardboard with a photo stuck in it.

And proof that the car in insured outside the uk.

NI isn't in the real GB, tho, is it?

In the real world, it will drop the number of ferry tourists.

I recommend, in the new Ireland, adult night classes should be introduced in certain areas of the NE counties.

And in the immediate aftermath of a no-deal Brexit, I'm sure that complying with your missive will be their top priority.

Well if the UK ends up leaving we will have to have some way of tracking this in part because of questions about the mutual recognition of driving licenses.
