The constituency office of Noel Dempsey ( the one in Trim, as Mr Dempsey has a few) was attacked last night.

Windows were smashed and the work "traitors" was sprayed on the building.

Must be getting hot in the FF kitchen.

The jet is a bit busy getting them all up here to Donegal.

Its a cunning FF scheme to do three things:

Get some bois off the dole queue for two hours.

Get Noel - who desperately needs it - some tea sympathy.

Get some money from the insurance to do up his office in time for the election.

Ho hum.

Excellent

Wasn't sure what the local feeling was towards Dempsey as he's such a sleeveen. Good to see he's not completely safe. In any event, his son Shane is no doubt being groomed to take over daddy's seat in the near future.

Can't say I like this kind of thing but more of this is coming down the tracks.

You punish this guy by not electing him the next time. This might send a clear message that you cannot lie to the Irish people and be stupid enough to think it won't have any knock-on effects.

I want to have my cake AND eat it.

Vote 'em out next year, and wreck up their constituencies office.
Bollox to overly-civil disobedience anymore, b*stards like Dempsey laugh in their handkerchiefs at such pathetic displays of our discontent.

+1 to whoever did this :)

He's telling porkie pies again this morning.

"We don't have the luxury of time in relation to this. We asked for assistance - we were given that assistance on the basis that we were going to produce this 4 year plan, that we were going to produce a budget - and that that budget would pass."

"If we can't do that, then the assistance isn't there", Mr Dempsey said.

Now - to me, that's simply horseshít. He is trying to scare Ireland into protecting his seat, using fear and intimidation. The EU/IMF are bailing out Ireland in order to protect the French, German, and British banks. No conditionality has been set, and while we must impose austerity (and we will), doing it with a Fianna Fail led government on December 7th is not absolutely imperative. They will not withhold the money because our democracy needs to exercise itself. That is quite simply ridiculous, and Mr Dempsey should be ashamed of himself.

It is truly shocking, an absolute abdication of leadership.
