But the DUP dont have Irelands interests at heart. They are a single issue party fixated with maintaining the union with Britain. A voice for the Nationalist community is needed at this critical time. The SNP has been able to hold up Brexit.

I would also point out that the original raison d'etre for SFs abstentionist policy before partition was that having abstained, they would set up an independent Dail. SF has abstained but doesn't want to go to the NI assembly either. Just sitting around waiting for the cheques from HMs Treasury is a funny kind of republicanism.
Good lord just how many times does this need to be explained?

I find it amazing that anyone cant actually grasp that the happiest people to see a shinner walk into the HoC would be the DUP ... they’d be over the bloody moon

a shinner setting foot in the HoC would be massively counterproductive to our requirements and hopes ... it would be a monumental mistake and I wish some people would catch themselves on and just bloody admit this

The reason for this “lack of understanding” is either because you aren’t thinking straight or you are just wildly anti-SF ....
and as it’s not bloody rocket science it all points to the latter

Perhaps because they claimed to be Irish Republicans in the traition of Tone and Connelly - not sectarian murderers defending a specific religious tribe.
You admit to having done nothing to protect Catholics from Prod murder gangs and yet you saw fit to pass adverse judgement on those who did try? Please put up or shut up.

Would you have maintained a polite silence if the Catholic defenders had not claimed to be acting in the "tradition of Tone or Connolly?"

P.S. DID the Catholic defenders claim to be acting in the tradition of Tone or Connolly when they took action to defend what you have, insultingly, described as "a specific religious tribe?"

as you know the OP questioned the uter hypocrisy of the DUP .... our resident unionist trolls still havent addressed it btw .. but yez can have another go ;)

1/ Do you think Jeffrey Donaldson is being hypocritical or not when he lambasts nationalist parties for making a pact when unionist parties do it at every single GE? ... what are you thoughts on this?

and btw dont forget that SF and the SDLP both stepped aside for:-
1 nationalist
1 unionist
1 alliance

so it can NOT be classed as sectarian ... even though the unionist one can as they are only stepping aside for other unionist parties

... what are you thoughts on this?

2/ Do you think its hypocritical or not for Jeffrey Donaldson to lambast SF (and even the SDLP ) regarding their use of ex-ira canvassers while they have loyalist paramilitaries canvassing for them right now .. these same paramilitaries are still active and murdering people .. not 30 years ago .. right now!
(and dont forget the PSNI are currently investigating threats made by the UDA to the UUP to step aside for the DUP candidate)

... what are you thoughts on this?

3/ Do you not think its tad hypocritical of "you" to try and take the moral high ground with the shinners/sdlp over an ex-ira canvasser when you are a proud member of the same Orange Order as a shankill butcher and could well march on the same streets alongside him?

is it only nationalists with a past that are bad? ....Not only that but it seems they are even worse than unionists with a present

... what are you thoughts on this?
DUP Hypocrisy hits new heights.
Another friend of Jefferey... the DUP....OO...and their Loyalist terrorist friends.

Whilst I can commend you on your honesty (unlike the dishonest opening poster), your moral compass is questionable if you consider it acceptable to have a child killing bomber acting on behalf of political party already riddled with ex terrorists. Decent human beings simply to not think along those lines. Clearly, Irish Republicans rarely fall into the category of 'decent human beings'.

Eh, one of the Shankill Butchers is campaigning for the DUP.

You'd think decent human being wouldn't support the firebombing of children's homes with the children inside, the flinging of piss filled bottles at primary school children or the maiming and killing of children with plastic bullets, but your 'side' supported all that.

Bottom line. Either we all move on together, and I do mean ALL, or we slip back into our hate filled silos.

And believe it or not the sad little scrote you’re responding to actually blames the parents for what his disgusting loyalists mates did to the holy Cross primary school children ... incredible but unfortunately true

unionist/loyalist hypocrisy simply knows no bounds ...

Absolutely ANS, totally disgraceful silence from unionist political leaders in all of this campaign against young girls going to school.

Listen, for as long as the main Republican Party are infested by, controlled by and supported by terrorist dirt bags, Unionists will ALWAYS hold the moral high ground over Irish Republicans. 👌

Unionists took the gun into the democratic process when they did not like the outcome of the electorial process. To this day they have loyalist terrorists at all ranks of their orginisations.

Most folk today are now aware who are canvassing and promoting the DUP to win N.Belfast in the upcoming Westminster election....but look here to see who in actual terms are helping them to win it even though her party can not win that seat...….

The DUP seem to be down 8% on that. Likely to lose seats probably in North and possibly South Belfast. However the foolishness of the SDLP in running a candidate in FST could elect the UUP there as the DUP are standing aside there. If you are going to stand aside in 2 constituencies then you might as well go the whole hog and stand down in another constituency where you have no chance. The SDLP were in single digits in FST last time.

The SF vote also seems to be down a good bit. On that basis I would give Foyle to the SDLP.

Nigel Dodds now calling for talks.....last week the DUP/UDA were calling for street protests.....the sad thing is they will see it as some sort of victory if Dodds holds his seat.
They are responsible for their fraud...corruption...intransigence....and the collapse of Stormont......the collapse of NI will follow.....and their own will turn on them.
Saying no and denying the inevitable never works....and saying some 'Brexit problems not our fault' just makes them a laughing stock.

Good assessment James and even considering talks with such AH's would be sheer madness given their track record plus your assessment above.

Two questions for the opening poster:

1. Should a convicted terrorist, Sean Kelly, be canvassing on behalf of Sinn Fein?

2. It is my view that all paramilitaries are scumbags. Do you agree.

Both questions are simple enough to understand and can be answered with a 'yes' or 'no'. 👍
It is very appropriate for Sean Kelly to canvass for Sinn Fein. After all, he is one of their own and is seen an a major patriot by the SF Republican adherents.

The DUP deluded liars just can't help themselves....as they show off their hypocrisy and support for Johnson and Brexit.
Are they hoping unionists will be that stupid?...maybe they will be (Again)

We'll see the figures for the parties within the next 24hrs but LT poll has released figures, showing ths issues motivating voters, and very interesting was that only 20% of nats/relublican believe restoring stormont is important compared to 35% enshrining legislation for Irish language.
As I said we'll soon see but this must be indicative that abstentionism is not such a big issue for CNR and that SF will not leak many votes to SDLP in Foyle and South Down who are campaigining strongly on providing a nationalist voice at Westminister.
SF are long odds to hold Foyle, it could be a good bet.
