We all know that Businesses in the US are sitting on trillions of dollars, that need to be spent to jump start the economy. We are in tough times, and the conflict between Obama's Socialist tendencies, and the free enterprise, low tax tendencies of American business, seem to be in a stalemate that is destroying out economy. maybe Obama will blink.

Last fall, JPMorgan Chase Chief Executive Officer Jamie Dimon showed White House staff a chart comparing the percentage of Cabinet Secretaries and top aides with business experience under Administrations going back to Teddy Roosevelt. President Barack Obama had the fewest by far. The President's sometime adversarial relationship with business wasn't helped by the departures of Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and National Economic Council Chairman Lawrence H. Summers. Exasperated executives often consulted the two aides, even if the lines of communication weren't always clear. "The fundamental problem," says Steve Reinemund, former PepsiCo CEO and now dean of the Wake Forest University School of Business, "is the sense the President doesn't consider business a noble profession."

Big Business takes on Obama
GOP balk at Obama tax breaks they've backed
Obama's corporate messaging
..Democrats close to the Administration say the White House wants to make amends and will make its relationship with business a priority after the midterm elections.

Obama is a bankers sockpuppet. Far worse then even Bush was. He has surrounded himself with Wall Street insiders, or rather they have surrounded him. A nice smiling black face on a criminal regime. Bilderberg's house boy.

And who would the president surround himself with, when developing his economic team ?

How about real people instead of vermin?

Obama's Wall Street cabinet

Ha ha ha your a riot. I am going to have you scooped and deprogrammed.

Vermin I like that. I guess it is different strokes for different folks.

I noticed your link was to a socialist web site. Though I have no confidence in the Washington elite, I have even less confidence in the idea of Socialism.

Fidel is finally accepting this:
Jeffrey Goldberg, a national correspondent for The Atlantic magazine, asked Castro if Cuba's economic system was still worth exporting to other countries, to which Castro replied: "The Cuban model doesn't even work for us anymore,"
Times are changing in Cuba, Raul , Castro's brother is beginning economic reforms. They are dumping people off the government payrolls, and trying to teach them to be self sufficient, and to develop business sense.

It is a shame, with all that Cuba has to offer, they live so third world.

But always know this cael, the leaders of these Socialist countries live just like the their Capitalist adversary's. It is the heart of man.

"Obama Seeks Détente with Business"
.
Sure he does, because he sees his popularity going down the toilet.
And the reason for that is because he let the bankers dictate his economic policy (just like our government is currently doing).
He foolishly believed 'the bankers' would sort out the mess THEY created, as he also foolishly believed THEY were the only ones who REALLY understood the problem.
So he took his advice from his Goldman Sachs team:
Larry Summers, Timothy Geithner, Rahm Emanuel, Gary Gensler and Mark Patterson
He has now belatedly discovered that these people's allegiance was to 'the vampire squid' .....
The Great American Bubble Machine | Rolling Stone Politics
.. and not to America.
So Obama is now backtracking in a vain attempt to avoid being a one term President.
Sorry Barack it's too late baby, you've been shafted.

Unfortunately, Ireland has also been shafted by the banking shills that our government have allowed to drive our economic policy.
The only problem here is that our government have still not discovered what these peoples motives are, namely;
cover their own tracks in the greatest fraud in the history of the state.

As many people are now beginning to ask "WHERE HAVE ALL THE BILLIONS GONE."
Even some of the more descent FF people such as Michael Ahern TD, chairman of the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Finance and the Public Service, are now beginning to smell a rat.
Colum Kenny: What we need is a quick and effective investigation - Colum Kenny, Columnists - Independent.ie

But what are Cowen and Lenihan'S pathetic response to all this;
Let's Form A National Government
I any of you get sucked in by this pathetic attempt to spread the blame for their own ABSOLUTE INCOMPETENCE AND STUPIDITY then you deserve all the budgetary pain that is surely coming your way.

And still the government trots out the mantra "WE CAN'T SINK ANGLO, IT'S OF SYSTEMIC IMPORTANCE."
It sure is; but important to whom?

TO THE BANKSTERS OF COURSE
.
As the saying goes "there's no fool like an old fool."
Unfortunately it's us the Irish people, and our children, who will now pay dearly for Cowen and Lenihan's foolishness, stupidity and ignorance.
But don't forget, Brianeen is laughing all the way to the bank.
His has a big fat pension arranged for himself and a Mercedes and 2 drivers for the rest of his life, plus free mobile phones and, and, and, and, and ...
Not to mention 'porter galore' from his 'friends' in the FINANCIAL SERVICES community.
While they all laugh heartily at his stupid ignorant jokes and pathetic impersonations.
As they chant in phony fawning unison "Be God Brian there's no doubt about it but your a gas man".
As well they might.

Global Research is an alternative media website. It is not specific to any school of thought. It is an excellent website that is popular with most of the Heterodox schools including the Austrian School of economics, which is not socialist.

Obama, btw, is a joke and the economy is controlled by Ben Bernanke, the chairman of the Federal Reserve, and Timothy Geithner, Obama's Treasury secretary who McCain was to pick as well.

Geithner was an attendee at the 2008 Bilderberg meeting and was relatively unknown then, but was one of the main speakers. He was one of the artictects of the Financial Crisis which began in 2007.

Bush and Obama is the classic Bad Cop, Good Cop routine. Under Obama the military budget has increased 25% as Americans starve. The government expenditure is now over 50% of GNP.

It's not a noble profession. - No doubt, it is a necessary profession, and one that has generated a certain class of gains for many people in the world. Also, one that has robbed many people of much of their stake and rights in the world.

We have come a long way from the time when the businessman was content to urge capitalism as a permissive theory, as an assertion of the claim that he had his due and dignified place in society, and that he must not be passed by either the snobbery of the aristocrat, or the snobbery of the intellectual.

However, it seems that his demands for room to live have turned into demands that his way of life be recognised as the basis of life of the entire community and that those who are not in accord with him should be punished with the whips of a new inquisition.

The businessman needs to be put back again in his place, and make way again for such as craftsmanship for craftsmanship' sake; art for art' sake; science for science' sake...

The way that he has recently turned business into a big 'game', where bankruptcy is only a minor inconvenience, and extragant gains can be his if he exercises his aggressiveness and guile accordingly, has to come to an end. The likes of Reinemund above need a good kick in the hole. This generally accepted subserviency to the businessman of today is going to be the death of us, no doubt.

Obama's "socialist tendencies" is a joke. The guy is probably right-of-centre ... if you ticked boxes between himself and David Cameron, you would find little difference.

If you did the same between Boehner and Cameron, or De Mint and Cameron, or Palin and Cameron, you would be shocked to see how far right the GOP is, compared to other "conservative" parties.

Lets do it, lay out the criteria, and list the qualitative political traits, and we can tick them off.

I can assure you Palin and Obama would be at opposite ends of the spectrum.
One major issue is health care, and Obama is keen on taking over the system and socializing it. Palin is completely against socialized medicine.

But I think Palin is a straw, she will probably not even run, and her support does not run deep.

Mitt Romney is probably closer on social issue, but the opposite on fiscal concerns.

Keep your eyes on Tim Pawlenty, he is a possible player. Here is a great site, and shows how all the candidates stand on the key issues.
Tim Pawlenty on the Issues

Keep in mind, that the word and definition of socialism is anathema to most Americans, unless one is in the system.

What I find odd, is that there are plenty of stories about Western humanitarian abuses, but noone relating to any Islamic countries, ie: Sudan

Here is a good documentary : My slave, My Infidel. The Muslim atrocities against Christians in the Sudan are horrific.
