President-Elect Trump has been busy today denouncing Buzzfeed, CNN and the BBC.

Politics.ie too has had a tough time of late being targeted by John Drennan, Mary Mitchell O'Connor, Brian Lucey and just recently, Michael McDowell.

I'm sure you'd all agree that these public figures are small fry and we can set our bar higher.

Well I think we should make an effort to get politics.ie tongue lashed by the orange baboon himself over the course of his presidency.

How that will occur can be the subject of the debate below, but wouldn't it really top off what would be the ultimate PR for the site.

Trump is a demagogue and all-round gimp. I think we should use this vehicle to hold him to account, by whatever means, and hope to get us a mention.

So what says the forum?

See, thing is, he was bloody elected by the American people. Like in a democratic election.

I don't think you'd be too happy to have the yanks telling you what to do.

Don't do it. It will bring a rain of Trumpster gobsh!tes from everywhere and anywhere down upon our heads. Things are bad enough with the handful of them that we have already.

We must be respectful to the electoral wishes of the citizens of Manchuria. Also we need to look on the bright side.

Miss Universe contestants could do with a break from casino and hotel operators leering at them from the judge's seats.

That's arguable. He got 3Million fewer votes. The electoral college is not democratic.

I like Trump for standing up to the lie of multiculturalism.

If winning by the rules is your high bar for democracy, then I guess any rigged autocratic system that has electoral rules in place is democratic?

Going on that logic then, Clinton should have canvassed for fewer votes, and she then would have won.

I know someone has an explanation for her messing up, and I hope we can hear about it, just to stop the whinging and only ifs.

Was this a hideous dastardly plan to prevent Hilary winning by using the electoral college result.

How come the Democratic party never thought of changing the method of electing the POTUSA while they were in power over recent years - was it that the system suited them up to now.

Do you realise how totally stupid you sound or are you too thick to even get that? Ireland has a PR system, where each constituency elected a number of TDs ranging from 3 to 5. Fianna Fail often campaigned for a first past the post system as it would have favoured them. The Brits use a first past the post system which favours the Tories at the expense of smaller groups like UKIP. They are the rules which, for example, Garret Fitzgerald formerly used to advantage. Trump won by the USA's rules even though your war mongering hero Clinton cheated. People like you with limited intelligence should probably not have a vote in a democracy as democracy is predicated on having an informed and enlightened electorate and you obviously do not make the cut

Ahhh, Blokesbloke kiss of death, First Seanie, then Joanie, now Donie...:D
:(

Well my Seanie came second despite the RTÉ conspiracy, and at least my Joanie kept her seat which many said she wouldn't!

Who knows, it might be worse without my valuable support!
