Oh God. not another one.

We do own the banks. We nationalised them whenever their balance sheets imploded ten years ago.

The rich lost their shirts.

There is an attempt by some shareholders of Irish Life & Permanent to take the Government to Court for expropriating their property, and an expected attempt by some shareholders of Anglo Irish Bank to do the same, but the Government case is pretty watertight.
They were nationalised in the interest of saving the banks not in the interest of the people.

They weren't nationalised when they were in massive profit were they, it was when they were about to go bust.

Privatising the profits and socialising the loses.

But only if they support FG? Then they get their very own government minister. Call now as supplies are limited. One mobile phone licence per customer.
What a moronically stupid post.

They were nationalised because the cost to the people of not nationalising them would have been far higher.

FG don’t care about people who bought defect property , they don’t care about people who work and cannot buy as rents make it difficult to save deposit, they don’t care about people who due to high rent don’t get to have the quality of life they could easily have.

If you are a foreign property company or a cowboy builder , then you should vote FG

GNI UP
GDP UP
GNP UP
Retail Sales UP
Construction Booming
House Prices UP
Services Sector UP
Tourism UP
Employment UP
Top rate of tax CUT
Live Register < 6%
Wages UP
USC cut
Standard rate tax band widended
Earned Income tax credit introduced
Manufacturing UP
Exports UP
Balance of Payments UP
Bond rates < 1%
Balanced Budget from € 25 billion deficit
Household SAVINGS UP
Household debt DOWN
Household Wealth UP
Emigration DOWN
Mortgage arrears DOWN

And on and on.......................... :)
You believing that house prices up is a good thing sums up FG policy. GDP should be ignored and the cutting of USC is a mistake. The overall economy is doing well but this is due to global factors.

It would seem blueshirt humour is already in decline a week before the election . You need calm down , remember what happened last time
If only FG could buy votes as easily as it bought Likes and Twitter followers from Asia. :)

Unfortunately we need FG to win the next election ...Why because 3 wins is usually the turning point which destroys a political party.

We've reached the familiar head scratching at their greed and incompetence but we need them to own the upcoming recession (already started in certain sectors) , the continuing housing crisis
We need them to own the closure of small business over the insurance scandal and their point blank refusal to reform the legal sector. We need them to own the Health crisis , we need their full incompetence ( and boy are they either lethargic or incompetent or both) to sink into the Irish electorate for once and for all

brexit should expose their complete inability to plan or do anything but react badly too

Honestly , about 3 more years of FG are painfully necessary to be rid of them for at least 2 - 3 decades if not permanently

Described as a bit of a Robin Hood character. Robin Hood stole from the rich and gave to the poor. He'd be out of place in Fine Gael as FG have a different approach when it comes to making the rich richer.

I dont think Robin Hood took a hefty commission ....he did !

In fairness if you were a con artist and shyster , which party would now be your natural home, the lad knows what he's doing .

Everyone (understandably) thinks FF is a byeword for corruption and cute hoorism , but if you take scandal divided by time in Government/opportunity or even scandal amounts involved totalled up ...FG would beat FF every time

Just yesterday Leo V and Fine Gael gave a 20 million grant to Connacht rugby to develope the Sportsgrounds. Look it is probably needed. So good luck. But there were other projects in Galway needing funding. Like decent public transport and flood defences.
Irish rugby is a Fine Gael "project". Since 2011, F.G have pumped millions into the game in Ireland.
Yet IRFU are always moaning about the amount they have to spend. To me this huge 20 million grant to Connacht rugby is another example of Fine Gael cronyism.
Connacht/Irish rugby is everything F.G likes:
Posh, middle class, plenty money, Belfast influence, Protestants play it too.

Fine Gael want Sir Jeffrey Donaldson as their next leader. Sir Jeffrey is everything FG and Charles Flanagan aspire to be:
Posh, Wealthy, Middle class, Protestant, an ex UDR member and of course anti S.F.
