Fair play to him. He will top the poll anyway.

The only Shinner who had any clue on economics. It was a joke he wasn't their finance spokesperson.

Says he is starting up a new party.

If he can get Nolan to join they will be as big as the SD after 5mins of their history.

One of the most well spoken members of the party in recent years, and no doubt a reason that SF grew so much in their formative years since 08. The parties disconnect from it's own continues, new Labour seems to be SF's fate now. Roll on the trays of smoked salmon and shrimp for Ireland's newest middle class party.

He doesn't belong with that bunch of dunces.
SF will loss this seat now.

On a side note, SF will be delighted he chose today to resign. The news will be swallowed up by Brexit.

I was very impressed with his performance on the abortion debate. Anyone I talk to in Meath has a lot of time for him, so he'll breeze in next time.

Sinn Fein ought to take the hint, but they are, as was pointed out earlier in the thread, on the Labour trajectory.

Fortunately Sinn Fein's fortunes or otherwise will have little impact on the path to reunification.

I was very impressed with his performance on the abortion debate.
He was asked a straight question during that debate: would he force the victim of a rape or incest to take the pregnancy to term? 'Yes' said Peadar through a bullshit blizzard of 'we must be compassionate ...but'

Good riddance to him. He should have expelled instantly for doing that debate in the first place. He'll fade into obscurity but not before the Shinnerbashers big up his chances of tapping into 'traditional Republican discontent on social issues.' We heard a lot of that hype during the West Tyrone by-election and it amounted to precisely nothing.

SF have lost a lot of councillors and now a TD. This along with the presidential vote shows that things aren't going well for them. I'm happy about that.

If he's forming some sort of 32 county organisation, maybe he'd join up with the guy in the north who seems to consider himself the military wing of the legion of Mary. Think his name is McGeough.
