This is actually insanity. On what planet is access to shelter to be restricted to those with €200,000? How is €200,000 a 'low amount'? These people have checked out of reality and into a world of almost physical assault on the population.

We can build houses for €30,000. Yis can fk off you unproductive parasites.
I have a site for you.

When the planning comes through I will PM you.

You must have missed the bit about 'preforming loans'.....
Of course, when it comes to FG, writing off loans for their Maltese mates (Siteserv) is the norm....
Not to forget that they didn’t investigate anything less than €10m in the anglo loans fiasco. The FGers were well protected.

It's typical Irish cowardice
FG calling in the bailiffs, the peelers to do the evictions.
cowardly thugs but afraid to do it themselves.

The Noonan bully boy thug type in FG, all mouth, is the main reason I have recoiled most of my life from giving a vote to FG
A willingness to stick it to ordinary people in the guise of "it has to be done, it's the law", but too gutless to take it on themselves.
Noonan's pandering and eventual capitulation to Richie Boucher and his pals was repulsive.
Mouthing off like a hard man but endlessly caving in to bully boys in Dublin and Brussels

I had hoped the newer broom in FG might have had smaller mouths and bigger balls
Alas not

If someone hasn't paid their mortgage for 5 years and have no way of doing so, take them to court and seek a repossession order you cowardly POS's, don't pass the job on to faceless, unregulated, immoral vermin, and pay them billions, just because you are too gutless to do it.

But that is FG's way in a nutshell, immoral FG vermin doing deals with vermin vulture funds instead of keeping housing assets as state property to be used as social and affordable housing. What should be State assets being squandered and flogged off at a loss to the Stare by treasonous FG and Paschal (Pontious Pilate) Donohoe who washes his hands of it. Ireland needs an election and needs it now!

The rip off to the state and tax payers continues!

He said that the majority of people now presenting as homeless have come from the private rental sector where they were evicted because the landlord was selling the property or carrying out renovations.Fr McVerry also pointed out that there are 43,000 mortgages in distress in the country, what will happen when they are repossessed?“That could create an avalanche of homelessness and we won’t be able to cope with it.”

But there would be 43000 empty houses?

Going by the comments of some opposition spokespersons, I take it that these vulture funds are under a bus.

FG's Paschal (Pontious Pilate) Donohoe, the banksters friend has disgracefully allowed the dumping of PTSB mortgage holders with performing and restructured loans to non-domicile tax evading vulture funds. [/U][/B]"[/I]
That's right about time.

Ulster Bank was bailed out by the Brits. So if your reference to 'the state' is to Ireland, then your very wrong. But you seem to be big on emotion and short on economic intelligence.
Plus the average arrears on the private residences in this bundle is 83 months....7 years! And that's after on average 4 mortgage arrangements having been agreed and applied and all failing.

Come on...

Hmm! Lets see now, "economic intelligence"? The FFG government is spending x amount of tax payers money on new builds...FFG socialised the debt and the gangster banksters who were bailed out with tax payers moneys are now selling these properties to non-domiciled vulture funds allowed by FFG vermin to basically pay zero tax.
Vulture funds pay just
Vulture funds pay just €8,000 in tax on €10 billion of assets

At the very least the State should own these assets acquired at a knock down prices to house its own people but in the filthy economic policies of FFG it makes sense to sell these at a loss to foreign vulture funds that pay no tax and the same properties are being rented back to Irish tax payers supported by HAP funds at an enormous cost to Irish tax payers. I won't insult your intelligence but before you try to stupidly insult mine go follow the money trail. The Irish state and its people are losing a fortune on these filthy FFG supported deals with the result of more people being thrown on the street and a huge loss in what should be state assets!

Vultures pick on the carcasses of Irish home owners having been given big discounts from banks we bailed out. They will cause the tsunami. All steps must to taken to prevent sales of homes to vultures. I fully support #noconsentnosale bill from

AIB about to announce €1 billion sale of loans to a Vulture, sales while mostly commercial will include family homes. More are going to follow. We need the “No Consent No Sale” bill. This bill will be discussed at committee next week. Another step closer.

Hall still talking about Tsunami's. And Populist Parties pushing a ridiculous bill through the Dail that will only make mortgages more expensive than they already are for the vast majority of people who do pay their debts.
Only in Ireland

Pearcy and the rest of the cartoons just do not understand money. If banks can not get back their money when chancers default, then to get a loan to buy a home, young couples are going to find meeting the rules harder.
Pearse and the SF bill on the banks selling loans to vulture funds,
Pearse does not make it clear is it for people who has made reguler payments to the bank and engaged with the banks
OR
Does it include people who has made little or no payements on mortgages they have taken out

According to Sen. Rose Conway Walsh SF leader in the Seanad its only covers the first type of people with mortgages
