There is an income limit to free legal aid. He is way above the income limit.

The point is there seems to be one law for him and one for the rest of us.
It was explained to you several posts ago , if you stop your hissy fits you might find it

He was sent forward to Dublin Circuit Criminal Court on two charges of false imprisonment of Ms Burton and of Karen O'Connell at Fortunestown Road, Jobstown on November 15th, 2014.

He's not in the High Court and therefore shouldn't be granted Legal Aid. His guilt or innocence is not the question because if he's found not guilty he'll be awarded costs.

Are you aware of how an income for legal aid is assessed ? thought not

You have evidence of this?

Being from South Dublin is a problem to you, but you have no problem eulogising a proven crook from Kinsealy, North County Dublin?
He's the right property dealer anyway - pays his property taxes as well to be fair.

TD wages are a matter of public record. He is a TD. Therefore his means are a matter of public record.

Stop being obtuse

If Dennis O'Brien got granted FLA in a court case, my thinking is that the Paul Murphy brigade would have a few things to say about it.

Are you happy about your taxes going to pay the solicitors bill of someone earning nearly 90K?

I'm on a good degree less than that and my guess is that if I applied for it I'd (rightly) be told to f*ck off with myself
Have you evidence of any of this?

My beef is with legal fees, not with people doing what they can to defend their innocent name.

He's a socialist so inevitably he expects someone else to pay. A scrounger like all the far left.

In the district court there is a limit based on what your income is however once it goes to the Higher court every one who applies gets legal aid.
What's stranger is why he would choose a State appointed lawyer considering it's the State against whom he is competing.

Foolish if nothing else.
