A fly on the wall documentary showing Mandelson going about his daily business during the last 8 months of the Labour government is to be released next week:

Revealing documentary shows unguarded side of Lord Mandelson | Politics | The Guardian
A fly-on-the-wall documentary about Peter Mandelson, filmed in the dying days of the Labour government, is expected to cause a political sensation when it is screened later this month.

The Guardian has been given an exclusive preview of the film, which includes remarkably candid footage of sensitive meetings with Labour's high command as the election campaign unravelled, as well as private telephone calls with Gordon Brown and the editor of the Times, James Harding.
I can't think of any similar documentary - inside access to top level political power ?

Meant to be amusing - Mandy is cold & arrogant in part talking to camera (not what you'd expect from a spin doctor). Its going to shown be on BBC 4 in November.

The bit where he is slagging off Osborne was the best!:p

How do you know it is 'fly on the wall'? Spontaneity and informality can be contrived. The fact that it looks like he is doing day to day things doesn't mean the camera is catching him 'off his guard' as the article claims.

Helllooooo...He is a spin doctor after all, there are some times when cynicism is more than called for.

Hopefully for their sakes that will never happen, he is the worst of New Labour. The obsession with image and superficiality is always there, the corridor between Labour and big money. The sheer fact that he cannot be disposed of no matter what he does is annoying and worrying enough. Every politician should be disposable. He has alliances that render irrelevent the matter of what the electorate think of him.
